lombardi publishing charged my credit card for $295.  i never received any notification of this until i saw my credit card statement and do not even know what it was for.  if i ever subscribed to one of their newletters i was never warned about an automatic renewel or how i could cancel it.  all my current newsletters are not published by lombardi and i have cancelled all of them.  there should be a law against this automatic renewel clause as some shady companies take advantage of it or say in fine print they can renew your subscription and charge your card.  at least they should give you an opportunity to cancel before automatically renewing a subscription.  this is not the first time it has happened to me.  lombardi never warned me they were charging my card nor did they give me an opportunity to cancel it.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced in relation to dealing with the Customer Service professional, while we were attempting to help you make changes to your account.
 
While the call may have been somewhat lengthy, we endeavor to explain all of the options available to you, and we do our best explain all of the details surrounding your subscription to ensure that there is no misunderstanding or confusion.
 
Perfect -- that number means your account has been cancelled and your refund is in process. Please know that in most cases, refunds are available faster than the 3-business days you were quoted. We do our best to set your expectations accordingly, as there is a delay between when the refund processed, and when your bank allows those funds to be accessible. 
 
Terry, I want to personally thank you for allowing us the opportunity to resolve this concern. Please know that I am available during the day, should you still wish to contact me directly.

cancellation and refund issued

after trying to sell me severakl other newsletters lombardi publishing politely issued me a refund and cancellation of whatever i was charged for.  they gave me a cancellation number can-168553-r-1 and the refund should be processed in 3 days.  the funny thing was i never received the newsletter they were charging me for under automatic renewal.

In all fairness in addition to the renewal notifications we sent you before we charged your account, you were advised at the time you signed up for your subscription of the automatic renewal.
 
These notifications were provided as a courtesy to remind you of the pending charge as well as to give you adequate time to let us know if you no longer wanted the newsletter.
 
Our newsletter service is designed to renew automatically to ensure you do not inadvertently miss out on any important information to which you are subscribed.
 
We respectfully request that you contact a member of our customer service team so that we can refund the newel charge. Alternatively, I can be reached at 1-866-74-3579 ext. 222 or you can simply respond to this message.
