Love, Beal & Nixon Filed suit on expired debt Oklahoma City Oklahoma

I was served a summons in reference to (now known as) an expired debt with intent to sue for the balance. Because I was not even aware of the outstanding debt or the legal rights I had, and the impending suit, I agreed to make three initial payments by post-dated checks to halt any legal action until I could research the matter.
Within two days I learned that my account had indeed expired, but with the first payment made, my defence was baseless.
The firm of Love, Beal and Nixon, PC had in fact, by legal summons and only days before the scheduled court date, pressured me into making a payment on a debt that did not exist.
