I have never complained to a company before based on my performance with payments. However after falling behind on payments due to a job loss I have been barely hanging on. My home was completely flooded from hurricane Sandy, I lost all my belongings on the first floor. I lost my car due to flooding. I cannot make it to my new job. To add fuel to the fire, two days after making a payment to m and t bank for my boat loan, they came and repossessed my boat the day before the hurricane along with all of my fishing equipment, fishing rods, gas tanks so I can't fill my generator during this gas shortage and other expensive equipment.

I have and told m and t bank I can pay my back payments to get my boat back, but m and t bank refused saying I had to pay late fees due because every time I paid via phone m and t bank employees never told me I owed a late fee and only took the 355 payment. In addition, I have to pay an additional 1,000 to the repo company who m and t bank hired to bring my boat over 1 hour away, which I can't get to because I have no gas or vehicle. In addition, the repo company has charged me per day even during a hurricane where they were not even open.

I believe it is wrong for m and t bank to advertise that they have donated 250,000 to hurricane victims when in fact m and t bank have actually hurt us at a very vulnerable hour. Please note I feel I am warranted in contact my friend at fox 5 news to release this story, I have already contact wbli radio and was on air telling the story and plan to release numerous online press releases to further get the word out that your company has made a point to kick me while I was down and make it impossible to recover. Your repossion company has stolen thousands of dollars of my personal treasured belongings and have made it impossible to retain them reasonably. I was given no notice of the repossession and was prepared to make this right.

Some People..

You posted this as a joke right?

Well on the off chance this actually did happen.  For them to Reposess your boat, you were already behind..keep that in mind.  So why use a National Disaster to try and gain sympathy for your "sad" situation?  They would have had every right to repossess your boat two weeks earlier.  Would you have been "oh well" had they done that?  Of course not, you would have found another excuse as to why it is their fault for not being willing to work with you on your terms.

Please note I feel I am warranted in contact my friend at fox 5 news to release this story
- I hope they do tell your story, and right after your story they talk about the 110+ people that lost their lives in the storm.

I have already contact wbli radio and was on air telling the story and plan to release numerous online press releases to further get the word out that your company has made a point to kick me while I was down and make it impossible to recover.
- Impossible to recover?  Really are you serious?  They didn't take your house..you had a boat repossessed.

Your repossion company has stolen thousands of dollars of my personal treasured belongings
- And how come you couldn't sell any of these belongings to keep your payments current?

I have and told m and t bank I can pay my back payments to get my boat back, but m and t bank refused saying I had to pay late fees due because every time I paid via phone m and t bank employees never told me I owed a late fee and only took the 355 payment....I was given no notice of the repossession and was prepared to make this right.
- If you were not given notice how were you prepared to make it right?  With the previous comment it looks like you knew you had past payments, and if you are saying that had they just told you that you were up for repo that you would have made it right.  Then why didn't do the right thing and pay your back payments when they were due?

Sorry if this is too rough for you.  But when you use a National Disaster to try and gain sympathy, you aren't going to get a lot of sympathy.  Especially when you have people who have lost their entire house, businesses, and LIVES.    So put your big boy pants on and take it like a man.  You failed to make your payments and they took your toy away.

Boo h*o, another complaint from a defaulter that blames the lender. They are not required to inform you of an impending repossession; therefore, you were not ripped-off.

"bank employees never told me I owed a late fee"

It's noted in the signed agreement.

"two days after making a payment to m and t bank for my boat loan, they came and repossessed my boat"

Did that payment bring your account current including all penalty fees? You already told us the answer is 'no'; therefore, your account was still in default at the time of repossession.
