On July 3, 2005, I was searching the web on google.com for a decent price for Frontline Plus. I found a website, Maakenterprises, powered by Zoovy.Com that promised no shipping charges and a good price, $47.95 for 6 applications. I proceeded to order the Frontline At no time, while I was placing and completing this order, was there any mention of a delivery time of 4 to 6 weeks.

On July 9, 2005, my husband was attempting to check on the status of this order and discovered that orders are supposedly shipped in 7 to 10 business days AFTER PAYMENT HAS BEEN RECEIVED and we should allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. Since July 3 to July 9 is six days and the money was taken from our account on July 7 as a debit transaction #714-7155579, CNC Checkcard, he requested a credit to our account as we could not wait that long and our Miniature Schnauzer needed her Frontline now.

We received an email back stating there were new regulations for homeland security in the U S and its not uncommon for orders to be delayed for security screening. They said the order had been shipped but could give no shipping date. They also said they were issuing a credit to our account and since they had not been paid and the product was shipped, they were reporting us to Experian, Transunion and Equifax and turning our account over to a collection agency. Of course there has been no credit to our bank account and we have received no Frontline. If and when we should receive a package from Maakenterprises, the package would be refused. We filed a complaint for $ 47.95 thru National City Bank today July 13, 2005 on our Visa checkcard.

I subsequently found a website, www.ripoffreport.com that has numerous complaints against this company - not receiving the product that was ordered, - not returning money when they said they would, - and no response from the company when there were complaints. One gal stated that she should have checked for fraud reports before she ordered the product. I certainly can relate to that. This is an overseas company - where, I don't know. They won't tell you the president of the company so that person could be contacted, (I asked a couple times).

Today, I placed an order for Frontline Plus from Drs Foster & Smith and I'll have it within a few days. I've dealt with them before and never had a problem. Computer users need some type of protection for ordering on line. I learned a good lesson here. DEAL WITH REPUTABLE COMPANIES.

I received my products from this company - Not a ripoff

AUTHOR: EileenL - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, December 03, 2014

Just wanted to say that I received the products I ordered from this company.

They are based outside the U.S. so expect some lag time on the package arriving -- however I did receive mine within the 7 to 21 business day timeframe they stipulated at purchase.

I ordered Advantage Multi and got "Advocate" which is the version of this product sold abroad. it's the same thing.

I too have been scammed by MAAK

AUTHOR: 63367 - (United States of America)

This company is a total fraud.  The sheer gall of anyone even trying to offer rebuttal is amazing. I have just finished reading no less than 5 different complaint web sites entirely about MAAK.  Why I didn't do the research first is my own problem.

I too ordered from MAAK, a large order over $1k.  They didn't make any contact, so after 3 weeks I started emailing, looking for a phone number to call, something to try to get tracking information.  All I finally received was a rude email citing their ludicrous 7-30 day shipping time.  I gave them another week and filed a complaint with PayPal who I used to purchase this with.

A week later I received a package in the mail that did NOT say MAAK on it anywhere, but it required a signature.  It was merely a printout of the order.  Little did I realize they did this as fraud protection to be able to show they shipped something to me.  What a scam.  Now they have refuted my claim with PayPal, stating I received and signed for what they shipped.  Nice try.  Too bad for them I have forwarded every web site complaint board about this very scam.

How are they still in business??

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

we guarantee all items and orders

AUTHOR: Maak Enterprises - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 25, 2008

as stated on our web site " please allow 7-21 business days for delivery of your order. " not only do we state the delivery time frame, but we also guarantee delivery of all orders. we insure that all orders are shipped the next business day after the order has been placed. once the order ships, we are at the mercy of the postal services just as the customer is. as with any business, sometimes things do go wrong. eg. the postal services loose, destroy or miss deliver orders. in every instance were we have found that an order has not been delivered, we either offer to re send the order or refund the customers payment. maak enterprises is not in business to make one sale per customer. the only way we can really make money is to build a relationship with our customers and in turn earn their repeat business. even though we live by this policy it is impossible to please everybody. anybody who is reading this response has had the same thing happen to them in their life time. do you remember the time when a person took what you did or said an made you out to be the worst person alive, even though you might have made a mistake they jump to conclusions and label you as awful? well businesses are no different. every body and every business on this earth has people that will say awful things about them. everybody makes mistakes and sometimes even though we do not intentionally try to hurt someone, sometimes it happens. unfortunately there are people that have no mercy or forgiveness, except when it comes to themselves. thank you for taking your time to read this response. if you have any questions please call us or email us at support@maakenterprises.com
