I am writing to warn people not to buy the Magic Bullet. I bought 4 of them for Christmas presents the year before (2004). Just this past Christmas (2005)the cheap plastic wheel broke. The blades inside my mixer would not spin.

I called the company and asked for a replacement of the wheel and was told this was not available, BUT I could buy a replacement bottom for $39.99. This is the biggest ripoff of all times. The set only cost me $59.99. Why aren't these spindles made with good USA steel? Which would make more sense to use because it would be sturdy. But if this were done, the CEO's wouldn't become millionaires. Most companies today make cheap products with cheap labor. What do they care that the product won't last. They'll be making their millions.

I'm not saying the product wasn't good. I loved it, when it worked. Was great for me. I could make single meals fast. It just angers me that they won't produce a $5.00 replacement piece as opposed to paying $39.99.
My daughter has informed me that her's too broke.
Until they make the product more durable, I wouldn't buy another set. Don't waste your money

#3 Consumer Suggestion

She didn't go through 4 of them

AUTHOR: Qwerty777 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, July 14, 2008

She bought 4 all at once and gave them out as presents. She had one that broke, her daughter had one that broke, and one other person that she gave it too had theirs break. I have one, and I don't use it that often because it never seems to do what the commercials said it would. I tried making bread crumbs for meat loaf and it ground up the croutons and left it all in a big chunk that I couldn't mix with the meat. Then I tried using it on peppers and onions, and instead of making the salsa-like mixture that I saw on TV so many times, half was pureed and the other half wasn't even cut. No matter what I use it for (even half the recipes it came with) it never runs like it should, everything gets stuck and I have to go through with a spatula and clear everything out and mix it up before putting it back together--it takes an hour to make something that should take 5 minutes. I totally understand your frustration--I just didn't care enough to try and get it fixed.

I can't help but wonder ....

AUTHOR: Peter - (U.S.A.)

.... if you had problems with the first one, why would you buy 2 more???

You cannot cry rip off because you CHOOSE to continue to buy a product that you feel is "cheap" and breaks often.

And by the way, I have had a Magic Bullet for 4 years and it still works as good as the day I bought it. What exactly are you putting in yours to have gone through 3 of them already ... rocks?
