You hang on paying the co-op agents and ignore paying your own. I am sickened what you have done to all the individuals and families you have stuck with no checks. You could have of taken the high road and pooled your loyal agents to a real free meeting with your pending company financial issues and negotiated a resolution to your crisis. NO you sank to disgust and deceit. Pay your agents Arthur!

Unfortunately, ILLINOIS Real Estate Law does not specify as to what time frame commissions need to be paid at and the only way to get paid is to either sue him or file an Arbitration Complaint with the Chicago Association of Realtors (You can only do it If you are a BROKER (not a salesperson) & are no longer at Major) Also, per Real Estate law- he cannot hold your license. Even though his Broker/Agent agreement specifies a 90day termination policy- dont be fooled by that. You can terminate yourself at anytime. You can even SELF TERMINATE if he does not give you back your license. If he fails to give you back your license HES VIOLATING the REAL ESTATE ACT & he can be disciplined for that. But dont just take my word for it- call the IL Dept of Proressional Regulation in Springfield. They will tell you- HE CANNOT HOLD YOUR LICENSE HOSTAGE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. If you want to leave NOW, you can!

I have also been screwed over and heard the many lies by Authur Van der Dant, LIAR, THIEF, CROOK, CIPS, CRE, a*s, CCIM....(all those certifications, but they no ethics courses).

It sounds like more and more people are getting the run around from excuses, no return phone calls, problems when trying to cancel their license, etc.

Anyone see art's latest email about being in business for 21 years and another 21 years...what a joke.  21 years in business...you figure one would know how to run a business right....to bad your actual experience running an ethical brokerage is about as long as the real estate boom lasted.

Anyone having issues with art...we must band together cause he's trying to use his "power" to scare agents into thinking he will sue them or any other intimidation tactic.

Ha...don't be scared of him....FIGHT BACK and know what your rights are!

I am a victim of Major's actions relating to non payment of commissions also. I am not an employee but rather an independent contractor for Major enterprises, inc.

This has been a problem for about 1 month for me as I write this. I have heard all the reasons/excuses from Major and some have been outright lies/deception of intentions to pay what is owed to me and other agents.

I am mad/angry that he took commisions earned by the sales associates and chose to use the money for ? and not compensate his contractors who earned this money and have had it stolen fom them.

Everybody, be on notice there is a BIG problem here and apparently the money is not there or else I would be current and not having to take this time to write this.

Arthur van der Vant what did you do with the money??? Pay up!
