Before I type this letter I need to let it be known that I'm not retaliating against Marten Transportation. I'm only trying to let prospective drivers and current drivers be aware of some the things that go on behind closed doors.

This company has no compassion for its drivers and in my opinion will screw you. It's sad because I had high expectations that this would be a very good trucking company to work for and i still believe it probably was at some point in time. Please don't misunderstand me employees of Marten I wish you all the best. I just strongly believe maybe 15 years ago it probably was a good company to work for.

This company owes me unpaid wages right now as I am sitting here typing this document. They terminated for an incident I had with a bent trailer rim. Which all they did was replace the rim. Not enough damages or cost in my opinion for a man or women to loose their job over. Not only that but the shipper were I picked up at told me to not get frustrated because it is a tight spot and you're not the first Marten driver to catch that pole. I have no problem stating that it was my fault and could have been prevented.

My MVR is as clean as a whistle no accidents or incidents in my three years of driving and they terminated me and the worst possibly way they humanly could. They routed me to Forest Park GA which is their Atlanta GA terminal to turn their truck in, instead of routing me to their Irving TX terminal which is closer to my home. So I had to catch the greyhound, train, fly, have a family member come get to me, or rent a car to get home. Bad situation to be in when the company will not assist you in anyway possible and your funds are low and needless to say you have no job.

It's funny how things work out in life and we don't understand sometime why things happen the way they do but I feel it's only to make us stronger and to never place trust in man... But to always trust the Lord with all our heart and he will fight our battles.

Please any driver seeking to drive with Marten Transport read between the lines and make a smart conscious decision before signing on with them because they have a lot of policies in place that could have you and your family placed in a bad situation. I'm glad this situation happen to me because it only made me a stronger, wiser and better person. Keep your head up my fellow truck drivers, trust the Lord and love your family.
