I recently signed up for medlife plus health insurance & have not gotten a response to emails or calls. I need to see a Doctor & cannot even locate them. I don't know what to do.

My name is Mickey and I am an employee and representative of MedLife Plus.



We have seen the posts on this website critical of our services and we regret that anyone has had trouble taking advantage of our medical discount benefits. We also regret that anyone has had trouble canceling their membership or obtaining a promised refund. We have helped hundreds of thousands of members save big money over the last six years, but we are not perfect.



Actually, we welcome these posts because they show us where we need to improve our program.



Unfortunately, new members sometimes join MedLife Plus without really reading about our company and about what we offer. We are not an insurance company and do not in any way represent ourselves as such. We are Medical Discount Provider Organization. People who join our organization thinking that we are a health insurance company are bound to be disappointed eventually.



If you have questions or issues regarding monthly dues or refunds, please call our customer service department at 1-866-4MEMBER (866-463-6237) Mon-Fri, (9:00am-6:00pm EST).We will do everything we can to resolve your issue.

I've never had problems w/Medlife Plus

I'm not sure why in the original posting the person stated that medlife does not responde to phone or e-mail. I have medlife plus and the 1-866-463-6237 I always get someone to answer during business hours M-F 9-6 ET. It's like any other health insurance. You can only reach them during business hours. Also you can find a doctor to go to with out having to call them. the website is http://www.thejournalmanual.com/. The only time you need to call is if you need to go to the hospital and if it's not during business hours you do the same thing as you would with Health Net or Blue Cross and call the following business day. I've sent an e-mail with a basic question about benefits and I got a response within 48 hours. Not sure what the problem is. All I can say is call during business hours or go to the website, cause I've never heard of Medlife having any troubles. My fiance, friend and her husband, and my neighbor along with his wife and kid all have medlife plus and never had any kind of problems with them.
