No schools ever find you a job.  I dont doubt medvance doesnt help.  I would never go to a school that advertises as much as they do.  I made one inquiry to the school and have received at least 30 emails from several different "recruiters."  Not to mention the 50 or so phone calls from them as well.  Get your degree and find the job yourself, do internships if you have to. get a day job and intern at night, or the other way around.  From reading alot of these posts I have come to the realization that it may not be their fault solely (medvance.)  Many of you who post are iliterate.  you have no punctuation, or even write in proper english.  If the average reader can barely comprehend what you are writing, how could you expect an employer to take you seriously.  I hope you guys do not interview as bad as you write.

 I too am a previous MedVance student and am very displeased with the way the school was  run and my ability to find work in what I went to school for (Medical Coding). I know myself as well as others in the class were there trying to better ourselves and make a future of ourselves, NOT to be TAKEN ADVANTAGE of.. They did not assist in job placement. I never knew what money went to what from my school loan monies. All they ever showed was what I owed. The class was very disruptive, girls fighting and cussing teacher every day. THe teachers did not care if one's cheated on their test, all they were intersted in was the money from school loans that we all indured. No one even looks at MedVance as a creditable school. Employers don't even consider that length of time as experience. Most companies ask for at least 2 to 3 years experience. But MedVance does not tell you that, they tell you finding a job in this feild will be easy. Now I owe thousands of dollars which I don't believe the class I took even came close to costing that much.I personally think it's and all out Lie on their part. Out of a class of 30 or so, I know of 1 that is doing the job we all went to school for. And I know of several who would love to know about this site, so that they can post their complaint too. I too was fully expecting job placement assistance after completing the Medical Assistant course because that is what they portray to all new students, and it is an absolute lie. Now that I have completed the course they have done little to nothing to "Assist" me. When I called the person in charge of job placement, she stressed to me that she did not have any jobs lined up and then proceeded to give me ideas where to look. That's it. In the meantime, I am getting bills for the balance of the course and then I can look forward to paying back a very hefty student loan.

There are no Medical Assistant jobs out there and they need to stop recruiting new students knowing they cannot place them when they have completed the course. It is all about the tuition and the only ones making money is the corporation that owns MedVance Institute.

They are still advertising on television, "Career Placement Assistance" and that is absolutely a false statement. This needs to stop. All the Career Schools need to be investigated and monitored by the Department of Education. These Career schools are pleading the goverment for student loans and leaving the students out in the cold to fend for themselves. A study of percentages need to be taken  on the success stories. I was an "A" student with a 4.0 gpa. I was sent to two different facilities who were not hiring and are just enjoying the free help.

I am so disgusted with the whole program and feel that everyone should know the truth before commiting to this school. They need to know the truth about their so called career placement and then make a decision based on that.

I am a victim also and I would bet that there are many others who are going through the same thing. When will this stop...
