Merchant's Credit Guide ripoff False - Partial contact info False front Pretending they are the whole building Chicago Illinois
*Consumer Suggestion: Another RipOff by Merchants!!
The letter from Merchant's Credit Guide co. just has the street address on it without the suite#, to give the appearance they own the whole building as illustrated on the co website.
They forgot to put SUITE 900 on the letter. Just want to make sure everyone has the ENTIRE address for these scumbags.
They also don't list a website or email address or a fax#, but after some searching I got those too.

#1 Consumer Suggestion
Another RipOff by Merchants!!
AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, January 24, 2006
This comes directly from the Merchants Credit Guide Website:
"Our commitment to both our clients and our industry is demonstrated through our positions of leadership. The principals of Merchants' serve as Vice-Chairman of the Licensing and Disciplinary Board of the Collection Agency Division for the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation, and as Director of the American Collectors Association".
I guess the people of Illinois are srewed as well as the American Collectors Association.
Tis explains why they can be the biggest offenders in the industry! They regulate it!
Wouldn't this be an ethical, if not legal conflict of interest??????????
