Metro Appliance is an appliance store that our builder sent us to, to buy new appliances for our new home.  We purchased several appliances including a Whirlpool Ice maker machine.  The ice machine was broken in 4 months and we had to get it repaired.  It had a one year warrantee on it.  The exact same part broke again 7 months later.  Of course the new part only had a 90 day warrantee ???  Why, because Whirlpool can not stand by their products .... that you have to buy extended warrantees for their products????

Metro Appliance doesn't stand by the products they sell either.  I called Metro Applaince in Edmond, (where we purchased the machine) in August requesting they send someone out to repair the machine again.  They did nothing for 5 days until I called them again.  They didn't have a record that they had serviced us and couldn't recommend a service.  They explained that they were waiting to hear back from Whirlpool.  Well, I called Whirlpool directly because I was getting nothing from Metro Appliance.  Metro even told me they didn't know who serviced our machine in December 2011, and that I would have to find someone myself!

Whirlpool was not much help either.  The only good thing is, when Whirlpool didn't know how to help me, they asked for Metro's number that I called.  I gave that to Whirlpool and the Metro Appliance employee also hung up on Whirlpool when he was trying to get me help.   Whirlpool said they would file a complaint for me about the terrible service and why I couldn't be helped with a service representative.  Whirlpool was supposed to call me back in 2 days (it is now 10 days since the call) to help with the product repair or service.  Whirlpool never called me back.  Metro Appliance in Edmond was supposed to call me back from my August 27th call, and I have never heard from them.

I found another store to help me.  The only problem that I am still ticked off about is that we paid $1049.00 for this Whirlpool ice machine that is 14 months old, that was repaired in December 2011 ($300 under their warrantee) and the same part broke 7 months later.  It cost me $300 to repair it, and that same new part has a 90 day guarantee!  I will never buy from Metro Appliance in Edmond, Oklahoma and I will never recommend them to anyone, especially a friend!  Terrible, terrible service and Whirlpool products!!!
