On May 12th, 2012, I purchased two tickets to the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas, Nevada from an online company going by the name of buybettertickets.com.
The printable sales agreement stated that I would recieve the tickets no later than October 16th and gave me the option to have them sent to my home address via FedEx for an additional $35.00. I paid the fee and and figured we were good to go.
The Monster Energy Cup event was scheduled for Saturday, October 20th and when the 16th of October came and went, I knew something was up. I called the 866-856-6304 phone number and waited a good 30 minutes to talk to a "rep" from the company. The utter lack of enthusiasm coming from the young woman I spoke with was apalling. I told her the situation and why I was concerned and that's when she said that buybettertickets couldn't help me because they were just a "broker" and I needed to contact Metro Entertainment. She gave me the number for Metro Entertainment and I called them.
The man I spoke with told me that sometimes there were glitches in the system and the tickets might not arrive until the actual day of the event and assured me that since I lived in Nevada, they would arrive by the day of event. I explained to him that while I may live in Nevada, I am a good 9 hours away from Las Vegas and what good would it do me to have the tickets deivered to my house if I wasn't there? He then told me he could have them delieverd io the hotel I was staying at.
I gave him the hotel address and asked for a refund on the $35.00 "FedEx" overnight delivery charges. He assured me I would recieve a refund back to my credit card. I got to my hotel and there were no tickets...took a trip to Hoover Dam and came back to find that the tickets had been delivered. Hallelujah! Got to the event and found out my tickets were what they called a RE-PRINT!!! NO GOOD!!! Fortunately, the young lady at the ticket wondow felt bad for me and let us in anyways. Bless her for her kindness!
