After complains I was given Office 365. Now I find that in order to continue with an office suit I have to pay for subscription

Due to problems with my computer and windows 10 I contacted tech support. As usual an Indian person was the technitian.

Took over the computer and after many things that I was unable to follow I found out that several programs were delete and one of Office Suit.

Since that was a microsoft program and I did not have a disk after lengthy diacussion the tech download Office 365. Now I find that the program expired and they would not provide a previous nor the same version without payment.

I believe this is a ripoff because always when I bougth office in the past was for me without further payment. If this is allowed , in the future they will charge for computer use, internet explorer, anything...

Now I know why is Gate the richest person

Microsoft like any other company will do what it takes to make a sale

What you mentioned has an all to familier ring to it. I had a rep do the same to me yesterday, then their supervisor who apologised to me at first stalled for time till they got what they wanted then turned jekyl/hyde on me. The do it often because they quoted as if reading from a paper how their techs are not able to do what I complained about, which was deleting key files, trying to sign me up for a service I dont want or need. I'm using small claims court against them shortly. The beauty of it is the fact here in CA, when you file a lawsuit under $7500, in small claims court, the laws here state you may not use an attorney, nor may the defendant use one either. This means their top dollar paid legal staff may not enter the court room. As for the damage they did, simple to prove as all my PC's have a video recorder which runs 24/7 and allows me to check over my kids pcs to make sure they havent gotten around safety measures and to keep preditors away. I managed to record the entire event so will make sure they pay through the nose for the damage they caused.
