Monitronics Rip Off liars Dallas Nationwide

 Caution to anyone entering into a contract with Monitronics Security Systems.  I entered into a two year contract with Devcon, (later purchased by Monitronics) with horrible service, disconnected phone numbers for our 'local' service techs and an unworkable system.  We finally unhooked the system to avoid false alarms and I continued to pay the two year contract until it was done in May.  Now Monitronics says that they hold a 42 month contract from me, (witnessed by a woman that none of us ever saw) and will hold me to it.  I can buy it out for $900 dollars if I am unhappy.  They have been horrible to deal with.  I have taken to the streets with my Monitronics yard sign to warn others about them.  I will continue to do this until the weather gets bad in the fall.  Hopefully this will serve as warning to others.  I can't imagine who would give them the great ratings they say they have earned.
