Monro Muffler - Brake incompetent, ripoff artists who could care less Medina New York

Work in Medina and needed a catalytic converter on a 95' Geo Metro. Called and asked if they had an OEM converter in-stock and what the cost would be. After a 10 minute wait the "manager" told me he had 3 OEM converters in-stock and quoted a price. Took Geo to the shop and advised I would pick-up after work.
Picked-up car and was told they put a universal fit on. An OEM converter is one piece from manifold to exhaust pipe.

After a week of not driving the car, I took it to work in Medina and heard the same loud exhaust noise as before the repair. Looked underneath car to find the same old rusted out converter pipes and a new "tin can" converter which was actually welded and (K-Mart Special) taped into place. Spoke with the new Manager who, while trying to be helpful, said he would try to fix problem by welding it but it would only last 2-3 days at best. I questioned about the OEM equipment I was quoted a price on and was advised that Monro does not carry OEM equipment!!! Was quoted $300-$400 to custom bend pipes to replace existing rusted ones or $1100 for an OEM set-up!!!!

Contacted Customer Service who contacted the District Manager who agreed to refund my money if I returned the junk they installed. Hard to drive without an exhaust on the car but I went online and ordered a complete OEM set-up for $103.00 and installed in 30 minutes myself. It's been three weeks and I'm still waiting for my refund. I will NEVER get any vehicle worked on by Monro in Medina or anywhere else again!
