Morgan & Morgan Stuck me with a bill that was their responsibility. Jacksonville Florida

I was involved in a car accident in June of 2010, in which I was not at fault.  I hired Morgan & Morgan to represent me.  Everything seemed to go ok until about 6 months after the settlement, when I started receiving calls and letters from a collection agency for an $800 unpaid hospital bill.

I notified my insurance company, which said my coverage for the accident had been maxed out.  Then I notified Morgan & Morgan, who said they'd get it figured out and get back to me.  They never called me back, but the calls and letters stopped.

About 6 months later the calls and letters started again.  I called Morgan & Morgan again and was told it was being handled.  6 months later the calls and letters came again.  This happened over and over for 3 YEARS!  Then I found out that it was showing up on my credit report (I know, I should check my credit report more often), so I started pushing harder.

Finally I found out via email, that the attorney (who no longer worked there) had just NEGLECTED TO PAY THE BILL.  When I asked if they were going to do anything to rectify the situation, MY EMAILS STARTED GOING UNREPLIED!

When I got them on the phone they offered to "negotiate the payment" with the debt collectors for me, which they did, down to half ($400).  However the collectors had already offered the same reduction to me in the past.

When I asked if Morgan & Morgan would contribute to the payment, since it was a result of THEIR MISTAKE, I was told that since they had released the funds to me in the settlement (3 YEARS AGO), that they would not.  So much for them owning up to their mistakes...

After being the victim of a car accident, Morgan & Morgan cost me an extra $400, a MAJOR delinquency on my credit report and a 4 year headache.  Thanks.
