Education is the key to a better life I believe that there is no other way. I came across Must University website as I was searching for an affordable legit University. The website says" Must is the largest university offering degree, diploma, and certificate programs in 16 different field of study and 71 different majors. Through its global presence across 6 continents and its many affiliated institutes and universities. Must university reaches students all over the world, ensuring a high quality of education at the lowest rates"
This was taken from their website and out of the hand book I received from them.
After reading the website I contacted the university on FEB 06,2011 and was told that they are fully accredited by the IAO and that they are an international school and they are accepted in my region. After being convinced by a Mr. Ben Taylor who claims he was in charge of admission I enrolled. I paid using my credit card I used my credit card overseas many times before and never experienced and problem. I am not accusing any one when I say this but after giving my information to Must i began to experience many different charges on my card that I did not purchased in fact the places where my card was billed was from a non english website and I don't speak any foreign language. I Contacted Must and they claim that their website was secure and my information was secure. Ok it's a long and very sad story so let me just move along.
The bottom line of my story is that I Completed the Bachelors degree mid june and received my degree from Must three days ago along with a transcript. When I spoke  with education officials in they said they have never heard of this Must University and that the IAO is not an accredited body that they are familiar with. I totally waisted my hard earned money and time studying with a University who don't appear to be who they say they are. When I contacted them about all the negative remarks about Must University being a scam  and I attached a blog about the university being a scam, the online Chat representative response to me was that sir any one can write on a blog but that doesn't mean it has to be true. He said  he can write a blog on me but that dosen't have to be true. I had my bank wired money to a bank they had asked me to so what I am saying is true and i have no reason to defame or speak any untrue statement about This University. This is what I have experienced. Is there any one out there who can help me or at least stop this from happening to other people. Lastly when I told MUST  how the educators around the world whom I spoke with said that the degree I have with them don't even worth the paper it was printed on. They ask me to pay for Apostille and the cost was 950.00. I refuse as I had just finished paying for the Bachelors program. This is such an embarrassing situation for me I don't know what to do I feel like crawling under a rock and never coming back out.

My intention was to simply tell my story. I read many other reports from person on this site and the writing skills were not good as well. I make no excuse for my writing but in the midst of my confusion I just wrote down how I felt Yes I agree when we write something for the public it should be proper. I didn't thought I would be assessed on my writing skills had I known I would have paid a lot more attention and made sure that my sentences were structured properly. Further more I didn't mentioned that my studies was in writing skills nor grammer. To be honest you are correct the writing is not the best as it should have been.  If I have offended any one by not being grammatically correct I am sorry, I didn't  read the guide lines for this site.

Just for a clarification the degree was in Performing arts. As I was told by the university that all programs were self paced. The program in which I choose had 14 courses to be completed I was told that after completing one course I didn't have to wait until the semester end because my semester began when i started the course and end when I was finished . I was told  the degree program was for working adults who would normally take two years and more to complete but it was totally up to the individual. I have been working in my area of study for years and I had also been enrolled at a local college in my country, studying the same degree but do to finance I did not finished. The information I got  from the courses I found in other books as well so it seem to be ok. After studying fourteen courses at the end of each course was a quiz as well as a final assessment quiz  it was a real classroom. I enrolled feb 06,2011 and finished mid june. My study hours daily, monday - friday for that period were as follow: Morning 11 am-3pm then I took a break and started again at 11pm to about 4 am daily and saturdays I studied all day, in some cases the lessons were so interesting I went longer. I did this and also completed my other work. I didn't have  the monies to do it locally that is why I wanted to do it online it appeared to be more flexible and affordable. I am a novice to studying online I should have not just taken their word but what is done is done. I will say that it was a true learning experience I did study the material they provided to me. The down side is I have nothing to show for it. I can't use the degree they sent me, so its fair to say I am still at a lost. Lastly as it relates to my credit card charges I can't be certain that it was them so I won't accused them. I will allow my bank to determine who the persons were. I thank you for taking the time to read, respond and encourage me.  I will try to remove this story i will accept defeat and move on. It makes no sense for me to be on this site talking and debating this university when my monies are gone and legally I don't know where to look for help so I will just take some time and move on, even though its easier said than done. If any one would like to see a copy of the degree and transcript, I have no problem showing it even though its useless to me. I was willing to work and earn my degree I don't want nothing I did't sweat and work for. I tried and fail which I still think is better that failing to try.

Scam

Unfortunately, it seems as if you've been scammed by one of the best. I have 20+ years in higher education and have never even heard of Must U or the IAO. Some quick research indicates that the IAO is not recognized by the Department of Education. Hence, it's not worth the paper it's written on.

I would also be VERY suspicious of any university that can grant a Bachelor's degree after only a few months' work.  Wasn't that a clue? If not, perhaps the fraudulent charges on your credit card should have been a big red flag.

I am also concerned about any school that would graduate a student with writing skills such as yours.

Your best bet is to crawl out from under the rock and check out your local community college. They're affordable, can offer programs for the working adult (if that's what you're looking for) and have online programs that offer a quality education.  From there you can pursue a real Bachelor's degree with a state college that will give you the opportunity to pursue a career.  You'll graduate knowing that your degree is recognized, valuable, and a valid mark of achievement.

Good luck to you.  Please don't give up!
