On 11/25/10 MyMobileLove.com sent me 3 unsolicited text messages saying I had requested their daily text service and would now be charging me 9.99 Euro monthly. I had never visited their site, have never requested or allowed commercial text messages to be sent to my phone by any provider, and do not share my phone number with commercial entities.

An Internet search shows have been reported multiple times in November 2010 for this fraud. It looks like this is a new scheme, since I can't find any reports from earlier in the year.

I called my phone provider, AT&T, and reported it to them. They saw that I had indeed been charged yesterday, cancelled the charges, took a fraud report, and put a parental control on my phone that blocks all commercial charges for services/goods through the cel phone bill. (Wouldn't it be nice if people knew this existed, so we could request it immediately when setting up an account?)

I have filed complaints with the FTC, BBB, and IC3. The company is hiding behind an anonymous proxy registrar, domainsbyproxy.com. I have also filed a complaint with that company. The MyMobileLove.com website, which I visited today in an attempt to find out more about where they are located or other information that would be useful to law enforcement, appears to carefully hide all information about the company, its owners, phone number, etc.  The address that comes up on the BBB site and other searches is actually that of domainsbyproxy.com, and is not associated with the company itself.
