National City Bank ripoff absolute lack of customer service or support incredibly adept spin doctors to put you off until you can do nothing!! Ypsilanti Michigan

National city refused to adequately follow up on a fraudulent purchase from my debit card. I deposited a first person check and a second person check through their atm and they negated both transactions so that I incurred several fees for non sufficient funds at $32.oo per. I have since received notice that another transaction was made using my card and I expect the same results, nothing to help me from National City!!!


The clerks I was able to actually contact by phone werent even aware of the company policies in which they are employed and any processes they claimed to make took 10 business days. Who can wait two weeks when they are off on medical leave and relying on their small income to pay their bills? National City has left me extrememly disapointed and I would recommend that no-one, especially a working stiff such as myself, ever trust this institution to work on their behalf.

I believe they find it easier to just pass the buck and give you a standard reason that you are responsible for charges! I, for one, will be moving my banking to another institution immediately. Also, at National City, they charge a person $10 to cash a check you write to them if they dont have an account with them-Pathetic. Of all the cheap ways to take a dollar out of the little mans pocket!! I hope my words may help someone that would otherwise make the same mistake as myself!
