I decided to look on the internet to see what info I could find on this National Magazine Exchange. I thought maybe I could pay my bill online. Boy was I ever surprised with what I found.

I can't remember exactly when I signed up with them. I too, got a notice in the mail for a sweepstakes and when I called I was also bombarded with a man offering magazine for a great deal. After reading all the other reports on this company I have to say my experience has pretty much been the same. Except that I called them and asked that it be cancelled and they said it couldn't but agreed to start billing me by mail for a much cheaper amount. Only $22.36/mo.

So far I have been getting my bills monntyly and paying them on time. I hope that what happened to everyone else does not happen to me.

And I will never, ever fall for something this stupid again.

#2 UPDATE Employee

What you ordered

AUTHOR: Liz - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 22, 2005

It seems that you're confused about your order, but I guarantee that you recieved a great deal, and under no circumstances are you getting, nor will you get ripped off.

Anyone who reads magazine's on a even semi regular basis has noticed the ever increasing price of magazines, ranging anywhere from $2 per issue to $7, or even $9.

Personally I picked up about 6-7 magazine's a month, which didn't sem like much since I was just tacking them onto the end of my grocery bill. But when I did the math... around $30 a MONTH at the publishers price. Not to mention the newstand price! Instead they offer you a rate of just over $5 a month for the same number of magazines!

Why does it seem so high up front? Because you pay up front, for guaranteed service. I can't tell which package you purchased simply by the price you pay per month, but I assume that you purchased the 4 year package. If assumption is correct then in a few months you will be finished paying for it and over the next 4 years you will be able to chose from hundreds of different magazines through our readers exchange program. Simply call a Customer Service Representative and find out how they can raise the value of the package you purchased. And if you're not happy with one of your magazines, simply call and ask them to exchange one or even all of them for you. We're more than happy to do so!

This company got into some very hot water in Washington

AUTHOR: Chuck - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, June 30, 2005

You may want to immediately contact your state Attorney General's office. This company got into some very hot water in Washington a few years ago, they paid a very large fine and are no longer supposed to be doing business there.

Good luck.
