Nations Choice Mortgage Bait and Switch - STAY AWAY Gilbert, Arizona

Found Nations Choice Mortgage on Bankrate.com and they had a very attractive rate. After speaking to a loan agent that claimed to have 25 year experience decided to give them a try. What a horrible experience!
The loan agent kept asking for a new document every few days, could not be contacted for days and returned voicemails with emails. The processor just did not want to be bothered and made me feel like I was bothering her anytime I tried to get an update (since I could never get a hold of my agent) - why was I paying fees for this kind of customer service. The agent had told me that my rate was locked but could never send me a confirmation of the rate lock when asked - I think they float rates and just tell you that your rate is locked to bait you in.
After 30+ days had passed and endless documents provided, I was told that my loan could not be approved by an underwriter due to income - if only the agent could have told me that from the beginning we wouldn't have wasted each others time. Thanks to Nations Choice Mortgage I was able to find a local mortgage bank that closed my loan from start to finish in 10 days, knowing that the close of my escrow was on day 9.
If you are looking to refinance or purchase a mortgage, please do yourself a favor and find a real mortgage bank. There are several choices out there so choose anybody other than these guys unless you are ready for an unprofessional experience, lack of customer service and no results.
