I purchased a Warranty from Nations Home Warranty. They Gladly took the Money. I was told my coverage would START AS SOON AS THE PAYMENT WAS PROCESSED! I was thrilled. The Bank paid my first installment. I called the Saturday after my coverage was to begin. I was already charged my first month and the Bank had paid it. I called and reported a problem. I was told No problem when they called me back. The Lady I spoke with told me they would call the contractor Monday and they would be out to fix it. I was relieved. I then get a call Monday from Nation's telling me sorry! Your coverage DOES NOT START AS YOU WERE TOLD! You have to wait to the first of the Month. I explained I was never told that. I also explained that when I filed the claim, that I was not told that either, in fact I was told Monday the contractor would be contacted.  I called Nation's and Spoke with a Female employee. Very, Very rude and unprofessional. She could care less and was rude!! I was furious. I had been lied to and scammed!  I called Back. I asked to Speak to Nation's Home Warranty President Sharon Harrison. She answered. I was transfered to her. She did NOT stand by what I was told. SHE COULD CARE LESS. If you file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, The Company Nations Home Warranty will respond and tell you that Sharon Harrison is the President, but does not have anything to do with the Day To Day Operations. How does that make any sense? She answered when I asked to speak to her! She is the Company President and Founder! She could have fixed this situation! She could have made this right. She is responsible for the scam and terrible service like the People that work there.  It is funny, on the Nation's Website her picture is displayed and a list of her accomplishments. It should say Liar, runs a company that lies and scams people, and IS THE PRESIDENT of Nation's Home Warranty.  THis company will lie to you, change coverage dates, and anything else to keep from paying a claim. The People who work in Nation's Customer Service are PATHETIC! RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, LIARS, and should NOT be allowed to work in any customer service position. I should have read the BBB reviews of this company before I signed up. I should have read all reviews online before I signed up. I used several search engines and looked at their online reviews. It is not a conspiracy. There are a lot of reviews from a lot of people who have had horrible experiences with Nation's Home Warranty. Their BBB review is bad. There are over 50 Reviews stating Nation's Home Warranty, founded by Nation's Home Warranty President Sharon Harrison, has lied to them, scammed them, Cheated them, and Numerous complaints about the Terrible Customer Service they give. They will gladly take your money, but when it comes to helping you, they will change dates, coverage, lie to you Etc. If you speake to Sharon Harrison, she will lie to you, and say you misunderstood. Run, do not walk, run from this company. I am filing complaints with The BBB as wellas the Texas Attorney General's Officer. Save your self. Do not be their next victim. There are other Companies out there that have great BBB ratings and nline reviews. Other companies that will Not scam you and lie to you! AVOID NATION'S HOME WARRANTY!!!

Again the BBB and all the other reviewers are all liars right? The  final statement is read the reviews online. Look at the BBB review. I don't care how long they've been in business and how many claims they have Supposedly settled, the real question is how many people have they lied to and screwed over?  people that do not know each other have taken the time to leave reviews online about this business. Also why don't they address why they have a president that is not active in the company. I did talk to her. This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard to have a company president yet the president is not involved. That shows how ridiculous this company is and how poorly the Company is run. This is some lowlife employee at the company who clearly has time to respond to these reports, versus taking care of customers that need to be taken care of. If they are that busy and the president is either dead or just not involved shouldn't  this employee be taking care of all the claims that they supposedly settle?

We have been in business since 1996 and this past “customer” found 20 complaints online after we have almost 500,000 completed claims since 2000, please do the math. Mainly the people that complain are simply lashing out because something was not covered by the contract. The overall customer satisfaction report from our personal follow ups on every claim is outstanding.

 

Again, a contract is a contract and we are all bound by the rules. If you like them or not… It is part of life.

They keep referring to the stories.  Anyone. Reading these, again search the BBB and other online reviews.  This company has terrible reviews by over 20 different people.  All these people are lying? This poor company has a conspiracy against it and it's non involved company. All these reviews by different people are all lies.  Why was I told there would be a service person contacted Monday? Does it make any sense that a company has a president that is not involved? The washer broke AFTER the person told me my coverage had begun.  These people attack people who state the facts and tell the truth. They do not like being exposed. I did get a refund. They did refund the money.  That is the ONLY honest thing they did.  As far as the past contracts go, I kept having claims denied.  They always found a way to deny everything and not pay. I should have learned.  I am partially to blame for giving this company three opportunities to have my business.  According to this company they have a president who is not involved in the running of this company, is that crazy or what? The BBB is lying and all their reviews are lies. All of the other people who have left reviews online stating bad and dishonest experiences with this company are liars and making up stories.  This company and their "president" are victims of stories and conspiracies. Give me a break.

Our company has a clearly outlined Homeowner Monthly 12.0 contract. We assume a potential customer has reviewed sufficient information to make an intelligent and informed decision when purchasing one of our contracts.

 

Simply because this 3 time former client bought a policy and does not understand the terms is unfortunate and apparently has ended up in these melancholy "stories" that still show the inability to understand the contract they attempted to purchase.

 

Truly sorry sir for your misguidance of the Residential Service Contract (RCS in Texas) you attempted to purchase and then utilize before it began… A contract is a contract.

I stated the facts. I did not lie about anyone. I did not state anything that was not true.   I did receive a refund check from Nations.  They did refund my initial money.  Their is no mention of the fact that I called and when I placed the claim it was accepted.  I was told by their employee that a contractor would be contacted Monday.  The dryer was NOT a pre existing issue.  It stopped working after I ordered the contract. I was NOT told that it started the 1st of the month, I was told it started as soon as my Payment was received by them, As soon as it was processed.  I have all the notes written down.  I have my cell phone bill and yes, I called and asked to speak to Sharon.  I DID speak to her!!! The only way I did not speak to her is if one of her employees prtended to be her.  I asked if it was her and she said yes.  We spoke about 1 minute 15 seconds.  I have the notes and my bill.  As far as suing me, please do.  If I were rich or had anything, i would not have been seeking a home warranty. Duh! Esmerelda was extremely rude and unprofessional when I called their office.  Sharon is the president and CEO of the company , but has nothing to do with the running of the company? How incredibly stupid is that? Name one other company where the President is not involved!!! Last, but not least, to date I have had 7 former customers contact me.  They all tell the same stories and share the same experiences.  Read the BBB review.   Use a search engine and search Nations Home Warranty reviews.  They are horrible.  All these people are making this up? It is a conspiracy against Nations Home Warranty and it's non involved President? What is fiction is their claims, their service and their customer service.  I never lied.  I told the truth.  Again, search all the reviews written about them.

This cancelled customer had no out of pocket expenses and was provided a full refund even before their contract was to begin.

 

This individual has been a customer 3 times in the past with our company and each time has used the product for a few months and quit paying for services where the contract was terminated twice in the past and now again a third time even before this one had begun

On this last instance, the "customer" signed up for a monthly contract on 7/14/14 and paid $49.50 for said policy on 7/18/14. The policy holder then called in on 7/19/14 wanting to place a claim for a broken clothes washer. They were advised that per the terms of the contract, the policy is paid the month in advance and therefore would not start until 8/1/14. Additionally, the customer was advised that the clothes washer will be considered preexisting because the unit was broken before the policy began and that our company will require a repair receipt before any service after 8/1/14 on said washer.

This individual then threatened our company with all the social media bashing he could find and we have these emails from this individual unless we fix the washer... EVEN BEFORE THE CONTRACT STARTED. Totally unreasonable and being considered an unwarranted threat for services where the contract had not even begun.

At this point, our company is contemplating turning this over to our legal department and filing a Defamation lawsuit as he has involved our President and CEO for absolutely no reason as she is not involved in the day to day operations. In fact, this person never reached out to nor spoke with our President and CEO. For this person to involve our President and CEO would be the absolute definition of a personal character attack because they were clearly in the wrong per the terms of the contract. THIS CUSTOMER NEVER SPOKE TO OUR PRESIDENT AND CEO SO THE STATEMENT IN THEIR REPORT IS GROSLY NEGLEGANT AND A COMPLETE FABRICATION

 

TERMS OF THE WRITTEN CONTRACT PASTED BELOW:

 

PLANS & CO-PAYS

The Nations Monthly Contract starts on the first day of the month and ends on the last day of the month. All contracts are paid by bank account debit or by charge to debit or credit card. The debit or charge is done on the 20th of the month previous to the month of coverage. If the 20th is on a weekend, the debit or charge is done on the previous Friday.

 

We strongly urge this post be removed as untrue and a mistake by the poster or this will be used in conjunction with the emails and other correspondence from the former customer as harassment, defamation, slander with full malice and forethought.

Tyg - () Clearly is a bored Moron.  Tyg - () it was not broken until about 10 minutes before we called. I know the Law. What do you do, sit around and wait to respond to reports? Do you have a job? A life? Are you one of those employed , no life people that stick their nose into other peoples business? Your an unemployed sex offender with no life, no job that plays on the computer all day looking for kids and responding to reports? You are completly wrong in your assumption. My facts are true, and I mind my own business. Nations Home Warranty is a scam! My report is true? Have you ever used them? Probably not. Get a life and mind your own business. Pathetic Loser that you are!

 All I see is someone who is attempting to get their PRE EXISTING problem solved by getting the home insurance. Which makes what you are doing a actual crime. Its a form of fraud and THAT is why you have to wait until your first month is over. What YOU have done is admit to THEM the people who hold your CONTRACT that YOU have a preexisting issue and YOU expect THEM to pay for it. Insurance doesnt work that way. Think of it like a form of savings account. Im betting the costs for your repair are going to be FAR MORE then your first payment. Odds are that YOU are going to be a scammer and get your problem resolved and THEN cancel. Thereby making them eat the costs of the repair and YOU get away with a single payment. Its so common anymore that they probably have already setup a review of your account.

Just because YOU dont get your way, doesnt make then "rude". Its a business and they have to ensure that they are protecting their business from ALL forms of fraud. What YOU are doing is insurance fraud and it IS actionable. I would just step back and relax a bit and WAIT until you can LEGALLY make a claim. Otherwise the more you push it the more THEY are going to assume you are just another scamer looking to commit insurance fraud.
