This scam was part of an article written by an alleged Cornell University student. She stated she was assigned a project for credits which came with school funding to conduct research and document the results of an issue of importance. She said she had always struggled with being overweight and decided to make her project about a plan to lose weight. She researched everything she could find on Melissa McCarthy's recently successful diet, as she was a big fan. She claimed this wasn't easy to find but she kept on digging until she found a one line response from Ms. McCarthy regarding how she had achieved such drastic reduction of weight in a short amount of time. She had reportedly taken Natures Garcinia along with apple cider vinegar. This suited the student as her funding was all but spent. She went on to say she made no dietary changes, simply followed the McCarthy success story and the pounds just fell off 2-3# per day until she had dropped 37# in less than one month. She of course had very impressive before and after photos with one of her in a previous pair of jeans which she was less than half filling the pants. She went into considerably more discussion about being a busy , single mom. How she seemed to have more energy in spite of weight rapidly dropping off. She claimed she got her friend to use it and he had even more weight loss than her and nof course, all good reports, no down side. She was so jazzed about this product that she wanted to share it with as many as she possibly could. So she had gotten with Natures Garcinia and arranged for anyone interested to get a free trial, as long as supplies last. There was a link conveniently provided to get this order underway so the rest of us could begin our road to slimness. I clicked on the link and was a little disappointed to find that free was actually $7.50 for shipping and handling, but what the heck if it was such a miracle worker? The entire gimmick seemed so centered around this lovely, hardworking, single mom struggling with classes at Cornell with her tot being so proud of how good Mommy looked. I didn't even take note of the name of the company. I plugged my credit card information in those blanks for that trustworthy, honest appearing dear without so much as a screenshot to let me know where this Garcinia was coming from.

Well... imagine my surprise when I was looking at my credit card balance earlier today, Natures Garcinia had charged me around $84.00 on Independence Day of all times! I spent a good deal of time sifting through files to see if I had kept return envelope labels or anything at all from this miracle-working outfit. I could not locate a shred of information and finally resorted to the bottle containing this wonder. Surprise, surprise they actually provided their phone number on it. When I called this morning, around 5:00am Pacific time (I haven't been to bed yet, wanting to sort this out before I get more charges), I spoke to"MJ." Before inquiring as to the nature of my call, MJ wanted my zip code, email address and full name which I had just provided to the recording leading me to MJ. She then said she just needed to see my account. I told her to my knowledge, I had no account with them, my dealings were in response to that Cornell student and they were incidentally the ones charging $7.50 for shipping and handling, that is until they had taken the liberty to hijack my credit card information without my knowledge or permission to the tune of eighty-something dollars. MJ kicked into automation mode rattling off that I had merely been offered a sample and if I had read their terms and conditions, I would then be aware that I needed to determine before 14 days whether I wanted to discontinue the trial and return the product or continue to take this product until I ran out. At 14 days the wonder drug seriously becomes I wonder where my money has gone. When MJ started saying well we didn't hear anything in time, that's when I made my exit. She was reciting passages from some manual on how to manage suckers who are sleep deprived and I realized I had to hang up. This is what I must do now, also. Please pass this on and let me know if I can be of further assistance--obviously, I'm not much good for information other than what I've listed here above. Thanks for your time.

The issue with Nature's Garcinia

AUTHOR: Gaye - (United States)

POSTED: Thursday, May 17, 2018

I filed the Rip-Off Report quite some time back.  My attitude is the same.  Because this was a credit card, I disputed the charge with my bank and then the next charge, and then the next one.  It took me awhile but finally I was successful (of course I had to cancel that card immediately).

Those swindlers who do what they do to innocent people shoiuld be prosecuted by whomever governs internet fraud.  There is a lot more time and letter writing involved with straightening out the mess they create by dishonestly tricking you into multiple ficticious charges! David can make amends by discontinuiing the company's fraudulent behavior. Then my efforts will not have been wasted.
