My daughter bought a car from Nice Cars in Rome, GA in 2006. Due to her low income, I had to co-sign for her. She has made all of her payments, every two weeks, since then. These people are now claiming that she owes additional monies, for payments they have not received. They have sent people to my home, trying to get me to pay her bill. When I explained to them that I have been out of work since December of last year, I was told that it didn't matter, I was responsible for making the payments. They told me they did not have a valid phone number for her, yet she has talked to someone claiming to be with Navigator at least twice a week for the past three months. None of these conversations or dates are listed on her account form. These people are crooks.

My husband bought a truck from Nice Cars in East Ridge, TN. Navigator bought them out. When the change happened everything on his account was fine, in fact he had made extra payments when he first got the truck. Now that Navigator has taken the account over it has been crazy. For one we have given them updated phone numbers but yet they always call my mother in law. Also the send us a bill (b/c we dont live close by them at all anymore, now that they are in Atlanta) which is a good thing but when we get the bill it is dated for a month prior (ex. bill is dated 12/2/10 we got it on 1/2/2011). We got behind one time b/c my husband was laid off, now mind you we were still making some payments. Well my grand mother loaned us the money when he went back to work to get current ($500)now mind you we asked what the payoff was before we paid the late payments (b/c we were considering paying the whole thing off) and they told us $3,100. Now mind you on the bills we get all it says is his name, address, dates, and that it is a truck payment and how much it is ($138.50). If we are late it doesnt say it, if they have been trying to reach us and was unable it doesnt say that and there is a message box for these types of things.
Well Nov. came and we got another month behind (over a period of 2 months so we were making some payments). On Jan 16th they called my husband and told him that he was a little behind on his payments by $277 (which was right at that point), so he asks what the payoff is at this point and they tell him $2,100. When I found out I said wait a min. that isnt right, I got to looking thru my reciepts. The last time we asked what our payoff was, was in Sept. 9th (or some where close to that date) it was $3,100 and now 4 months later they say it is only a 1,000 less when I had proof of over $1,300 worth of payments (from credit card and debit card statements). Ok now with that being said my grandmother talked to them again on the 18th of Jan. (just 2 days after my husband was told the pay off was $2,100) and they told her that we owed them $438 and that our payoff was $2,700. Ok so how does our balance jump $161. They tried to say something about late fees well the old company never charged us late fees. So then they say another payment posted, uh well last time I done math $138.50 + $277 doesnt equal $438 even if you do add two $6 late fees (as they say). Plus how does our payoff balance jump $600 in 2 days.
A word to the wise if you are considering purchasing a car from this company, well lets just say I WOULDN'T. If you feel as if you have no other way to buy a car but thru them make sure to read the fine print and keep everything documented. I would even record any calls with them.
