Nco Financial ripoff won't let you pay bill but reports to credit bureau Horsham Pennsylvania

I was paying Elyria Memorial Hospital payments on a bill I received. Made a payment in August of 2004 and then in September of 2004 - my account was sent to collection with NCO Finacial.

When I called NCO Financial - they claim they do not have the account. I had to pay for a copy of my credit report so I could give the account number to them. No such account number found.

I called them at the beginning of November of 2004 and now they are claiming the account was transferred to Gold Key Credit. I asked why that happened since they just got it and when I called before they couldn't even locate it???

They gave me a number and told me to call Gold Key Credit. I called Gold Key Credit and they have no record of the account. They told me if NCO Finacial said they sent it to them it may take about 2 weeks for them to get it. Call back in 10 days.

November 29, 2004.... I called Gold Key Credit - still no record of account but woman at Gold Key advised she can check the records of NCO Financial since they are linked..... she checked with them - once again no account found. I have finally gotten my credit completely cleared up after a divorce except for this. No one can tell me where or who to pay it to, but NCO Financial is reporting to the credit bureau's as a past due collection account. How is one supposed to pay this if everyone keeps saying they do not have the account??? No wonder some people don't even bother trying to fix their credit with these kinds of companies out there. Is there anything that can be done???
