Purchased 2 Netgear Routers both stopped working while the Warrenty was still in effect but the company continues to want to see the routers on my network before repairing but both have been replaced and neither is on line. Will not purchase products from this company again. Tossed both in the trash.

My Goal was to cost them sales as they cost me time . I suceeded. Amateurs run the test you suggest.

One router was a year old the other was 3 months. When purchased I took the company's word that their product was good. I didn't have to jump through hoops when I bought them and don't expect to jump through hoops to return them. Not a problem, I left reviews at the site where I bought them and also filed several comments on consumer web sites including my favorite this one. Factory cost on these two routers are less than shipping and handleing. As long as I save a number of people from buying Netgear makes tossing them all the better.

I'm guessing you're some sort of expert at electronic troubleshooting and repair, and Netgear should just take your word that the devices are not working. Unfortunately, that's not how that works. In order for Netgear (or anyone for that matter) to issue an RMA and have you send the devices in for repair, they like to make sure they are in fact in need of repair. They will usually walk you through some minimal troubleshooting. Maybe have you try to reset the device or flash new firmware. Perhaps if you'd try to cooperate, this wouldn't be such a burden for you. I have a feeling this isn't the first time you've had this problem, though.
I don't work for Netgear!
