New Platinum Advantage Used information obtained by fraud Ripoff Largo Florida

This company was one of several that received personal information about me by theft. I received a letter in the mail today regarding theft of my information and an ongoing criminal investigation into it by an employee at a financial information services company that deals with one of my credit cards. My name, address, phone number and account number was stolen. It was sold to a data broker who in turn sold it to a number of marketing services companies. I believe Platinum advantage was one among about a half dozen others.

They offered a "credit card" for $200 with 4 $50 vouchers to be sent to me for payment. In a few weeks I saw them go into my account using "checks" cashed in my name first for $100, then another $100, then, get this, tried to withdraw another $100 and caused my account to go into the negative.

I called them. They denied trying for $300. I went to my bank. I got $100 of the money back. Because it was done by check, Platinum Advantage got the money, but i was able to get $100 back with the fear of course they have my bank info.

Now I find it appears they received my personal information the was initially stolen. They contacted me by phone as well as the others. I did not contact them or look at anything on the web dealing with them.
Them, and two others seem to be nothing but a list of On line shopping sites that offer very little that can't be found cheaper by just going out shopping. And the selections are pitiful.

I am writing them, and have contacted two others to give me refunds of all money they got from me. It is a serious criminal investigation going on into this. The credit bureaus, my bank, as well as all the marketing companies that received my personal information are being notified by the company that had my information stolen from them. They are to return the information they received. In turn, I'm filing complaints on all of them including Platninum Advantage. I requested refunds and told them I'm going to file the complaints against them anywhere I can including the FBI.

I also have to deal with the nightmare my credit card was compromised. And my bank and credit reports. For weeks I was confused and upset as to why I was getting so many phone calls from marketing companies.
These companies are the new scam on the net.
