Nicoco International - Encore Management Sweat Shop, Failure to Pay Wages, Pyramid Scheme Sacramento California

I worked for Nicoco Internation for about a month. During which time I noticed that none of the required labor law posters where anywhere on the premise. Also, non of the companies policies and procedures such as hours, dress code, benefits, etc., were ever outlined formally or given on paper.

Also, it was like working in a sweat shop. Employees were required to work 12 hour days without getting paid overtime. In addition, lunch hours were not provided and short "five minute" breaks were what people were officially told to take.

The company works like this: you come in for mandatory meetings in the morning after which you drive your own car (mind you mileage/wear and tear/gas are never discussed) and you go your "event". Events consist of standing at a gas station, Wal Mart, grocery store, etc and hawk merchandise under the guise of helping find missing kids. Now, 90% of the money goes to the company and 5% goes to the charity. Plus the whole set-up of the company is that of a pyramid scheme.

Employees are paid a flat $350 a week. That's it. They're expected to stand at a fold up table in front of stores for at least eight hours. Keep in mind that lengthy breaks are discouraged. That's not including two hour meetings in the morning, plus driving time, and follow up paper work, etc at the company. So the average day is about 12 hours. Again with no overtime.

Now, after all of this mess, I decide to quit. Not only was I called repeatedly by employees for the next week, I was not paid for my time. As of now Nicoco International owes me a weeks pay and they have not communicated with me in any which way shape of form on that matter. There are also no time cards, or any other way to verify hours worked.

All, I want is to be paid for my time and to discourage anyone from working for this corrupt company/
