I saw an ad through the internet that sounded interesting for a home based business. I asked for information. I use a fake name through the internet but gave my home phone.

I was called awhile later, 6/19/08 in the p.m. Troy from North American Loan Network called and when he said he was a loan company, I started to hang up telling him I was on a no call list. He caught my attention quickly and refreshed my memory reminding me that I had asked for this information. So, I let him talk.

I quickly cut him off and asked how much. I am looking for a home business but do NOT have money to throw away, so I do not want to waste my time or theirs so I get this information up front. He told me that he could get me in for as little as $200. I was still interested. We kept speaking. He spieled his company's plan and what they would do for me. I asked questions.

Not too long into some of my questions, he decided to ask me if I had the ability to pay by credit card or debit. I am VERY leary of people period and this was a RED flag to me. I told him possibly. I said that I wanted more information about the company. He said that he wanted to make sure that I had the ability to pay by credit card or debit while we were on the phone. I responded that there were other means of payment. He incredulously asked how?!!! saying he was in Arizona and I in Missouri. When I suggested mailing payment through the post, he immediately said thank you and hung up.

NOW I was TOTALLY suspicious. I called my local police to see where to report. I was not able to get the information, so googled and came up with 877-ID-THEFT. I called and they took my report. I was told that class action would be taken against companies that people take the time to fill out reports on, but not on individual basis.

While I was filing my report I continued to google information about this company. I found that I was not the first and more than likely would not be the last. It seems they like to steal money from others claiming to give them something but not really fulfilling their end of the bargain/contract.

While reporting the incident, I discovered a couple other means of trying to help others to not get caught up with these scammers.

1. Consumer Protection Agency: 800-392-8222
2. Better Business Bureau: 877-291-6222

Both are toll free numbers. The more people know, the less likely these scammers can take advantage of someone. May G-d assist us to keep them from STEALING from anyone else. B"H!!!

1) Image Incentives aka Smart Advertising Solutions Tempe,AZ
2)Grandgold Marketing / Karisma Marketing Phoenix, AZ
3)North American Loan now

Who all make FALSE claims that I signed up for info with their company but I never did ANYWHERE or recently bought something that alerted them I was interested in their FRAUD Home business offer. I reported these companies to the Arizona Attorney Generals Office and AZBBB but the AZ Attorney Generals Office has a previous postcard scam on Smart Advertising Solutions and is checking out the other 2 telemarketers because of the FALSE claim their using saying I signed up for some home business offer that others are caliming to be some scam/fraud/misleading offer. As usual the AZBBB does nothing and has been checking Smart Advertising Solutions for 3 months now and has no report to offer consumers about this company or does it have any of the other 2 telemarketers listed on their site, but numerous other people have complaints on these companies with scam/fraud websites anybody can easily find when entering their business names. HMMMM
