I bought two trucks from North Texas Truck Stop. Both trucks were shipped to Canada. When received, both  needed over $5000 repairs just to pass safety inspection.

When talking to Harvey at NTTS before sale, he said both trucks are in good shape, and "No accidents" My truck looked fine in their photos, but when I got it, the tailpipe was torn off, differential cover damaged, 3 out of 4 tires not serviceable, pass. side rear has over $2k damage on it. terrible odor on the inside (farm truck stink) I had to have truck detailed so I wasn't allergic to it. I now have to send it into the dealership to see if the airbag is present as the cover for the airbag on the passenger side is almost completly open, other points on dash show damage like someone had removed the dash for what ever reason.

I tried emails, and telephoning NTTS (Harvey) but they will not return calls or emails.

They Are Great

AUTHOR: richlowman - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, August 26, 2011

I had to respond to these rip-off reports. I have dealt with Ben and Dave at North Texas Truck Stop. I have bought two vehicles from them and honestly, wouldn't consider buying a truck from anyone but them. They usually post 35-40 pictures of each truck so I don't see how someone could say they hide flaws. They have been honest and up-front with me and also have given me great educations concerning diesel trucks, engines, preferences and personal opinions. The trucks are used..which means they can't possibly know everything wrong with them. I have bought brand new cars and had troubles with them also!! No one can predict failures of certain types. They would not knowingly sell anyone a bad vehicle. They specialize in trucks and they have the best inventory of anyone here in the DFW area. Again, I would highly recommend them. While I was there in the showroom, there were many buyers from out of state. I heard no one complain that the vehicles were not as described at all. It was all very pleasant and friendly. Thank you North Texas Truck Stop.

At what point does your word mean something, Mr. Customer?

AUTHOR: North Texas Truck Stop - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 17, 2011

Lets start from the beginning. You flew into our location and looked at several trucks on our lot. You had not already committed to purchase one of our trucks online or over the phone. You personally and thoroughly inspected several trucks over the course of several hours. You picked the truck that you thought was the best, you negotiated, signed an "as-is/no warranty" agreement and purchased that truck.

You were the 6.0L Powerstroke expert on the lot and educated us about all the things that go wrong with these trucks. You then proceeded to drive home 1,000 miles with a dead EGR and blown head gaskets? Yet you make it sound as if the truck was undriveable. Something does not add up here.

You say that we lied to you about an accident history. We can only know for certain if a truck has been in an accident if an accident report is present on the Carfax report. Your truck's Carfax report was clean. If we made any claims as to the history of the truck it was based on the Carfax report only. Our pre-sale inspection does not go so far as to make sure all cab bolts are present and/or secure. That is definitely something we would have missed. In fact, you inspected this truck yourself and did not see any sign of accident either.

You called us to inform us of a few issues you were having and we were receptive to your concerns. Although we were in no way liable or accountable for any issues after a 1,000 mile trip, we asked you what we could do to resolve the issue to your satisfaction. You told us, and I quote, "Send me $500 and you will never hear from me again". We sent you the $500 that you requested as a satisfactory resolution to the situation, but that was far from the last time we heard from you. In fact, we are obviously still hearing from you right here on Rip Off Report. We stood by our word to make things right with you. How is it fair for you to take no responsibility of your purchase, to agree to a settlement then to slander us online?

We did not deceive you in any way. We do not cover up anything. If a Powerstroke expert such as yourself could not detect allegedly failing head gaskets and EGR, how would you expect us to detect them. The truck obviously functioned well enough to make the 1,000 mile trip home, not to metion any test drives that we took in the truck prior to sale. The Carfax showed no accident history and neither you nor we found any sign of accident when we each did our own inspections. Now I ask you, who is being unscrupulous here? The dealer who offered aid when he was not liable, or the man who asked for a $500 settlement that has gone back on his word? I ask again, at what point does your word mean something?

I feel for you I bought a truck from them and they said it had never been wrecked. When I took it to
the shop in my town it had been and the cab bolt was gone. The egr was out of my truck and the head gaskets were shot. I could of caught it but the cleaned the engine so well that you wouldnt be able to see the over flow. I have over 5000.00 dollars in this. I called The owner (Kevin) and what a a** he sent me a check for 500.00 dollars. I flew 1000 miles to get this truck as the told me how wounder full this truck was. The did a great job hiding all the damage from the customers. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!!
