I first ordered a month supply of product from Northstar Nutritionals in late 2013.  I thought it was helping me and I ordered a 6 month supply.  They asked me if I wanted to have recurring orders evry 6 months.  I agreed, only after confirming with them that I could cancel at any time.

In about February, 2014, I mentioned, to my doctor, that I was taking the product.  He told me that due to my medical situration, I should stop taking the product immediately.  After he told me this, I called Northstar Nutritionals and told them what my doctor said.  I told them that I sill had a lot ot the product on hand, but would simply "dump" it, but that they were not to send me any more.  I specifically mntioned that I had signed up for 6 month recurring orders and I wanted that to be cancelled immediately.  I was told that they would cease all future shipments to me.

On May 21, 2014, I received another 6 month supply in the mail.  I immediately called Northstar Nutritionals and questioned as to why they sent it to me.  They also has already charged my credit card for $214.70 on Ma 13, 2014.  They said that I had a recurring order for every 6 months.  I became rather irritated and informed the person I talked to (she only gave me her first name as Lorraine) that I was assured the no future orders would be shipped to me.  She said that all I had to do was put the "Return Label", which was in the box, with the product, on the outside of the box and send it back and then I would be reimbursed for my purchase.  I taped the label to the outside of the box and went to send it.  I was told that the label was not a "shipping lable" and I would have to pay about $25.00 for the postage.  Now, I was really ticked off.

I took the package home and called Northstar Nutritionals again.  This time I was informed that the company never paid for return shipping.  I said that if I had ordered the product and then wanted to return it, I could understand such a policy, but they had inappropriately sent me the product and they should pay the return charges.  I was rudely told that they simply did not do that and if I wanted credit for amount I was charged for the product, I sholuld simply pay the return postage, or I would get nothing.  I finally took the package to the post office and paid for the postage, myself.  I also tracked the package, so that I could have proof that it was delivered.

I believe that this company is cunning, unscupulous and downright dishonest.  Please beware of the fact that if you purchase anything from them, they wll simply continue to try to get money out of you, even if you did not order anything else from them.

Apparently misled by representative

In response to Mason, of NorthStar Nutritionals, I did receive a call from a lady at NorthStar Nutritionals.  She apologized for the faulty information I had received from one of ther representatives.  She said that NorthStar Nutritionals does provide "Shipping Labels", when there was an error on their part (as she confirmed there was in my case).  She did assure me that I would receive a refund for the six month supply of the product thast was sent to me in error.  She was very polite and pleasant to talk to.  She stated that, in the future, if I should ever receive any, apparantly unfair or incorrect information from one of their reprasentatives, I should ask to speak to the supervisor.  She also assured me that the representative, who was rather rude to me and gave me faulty information in stating that NorthStar Nutritionals does not send out "Shipping Labels" under any circumstances, would be given additional training in this area to help ensure that such an incident does not re-occur.  I am satisfied with the explanation that she gave me and with her assurance that I could always question whatever information that I received from any of their representatives.  I am dismayed that the incident occurred in the first place and that it took my action in the RipOff Report to get it acceptably resolved.
