OAK PLANTATION RESORT WORST TIME SHARE EVER! KISSIMMEE Florida

My wife and I have been owners of this resort for over 15 yrs. It was a great place when we purchased it, nice units, close to the pool, exercise room. After a few years things started to go downhill, the resort changed through many hands, promised upgrades never occurred and when they did finally it looked like they bought the appliances from a second hand store. It wasn't until this year when we finally felt we had enough. Our daughters went down to stay @ one the weeks (a floating week) for one of the units we had deeded for. I should explain that when we purchased our units, they were deeded unti, just like buying a house, we even had deeds from the State of Florida. Well, our daughters did not get the deeded (that went to someone outside the resort for exchange). Instead the room they were given had blood on the carpet, still had the old tube TV's and VCR. They asked for another unit and got one with ants on the countertop in the kitchen. One of the girls was stung by a wasp from a wasp nest that was outside the front door. They told me when they got home they had the worst vacation ever. When I inquired about why they were not given the deeded unit, we were told that BOTH units were float units (meaning they could put us in any unit they felt like), and I had to talk to someone named Stephanie (407-544-3295) to have this fixed. Well, I have tried to call Stephanie for the past 2 months, she had never replited to me either via Email or phone. I tried to call the Operations Manager, Dawn Zingone, but they just kept telling me she was not in the office.

At this point I feel that I have no recourse to contact the Attorney General of the State of Florida to report this, it is a violation of our deeded units. I live in another state and if I didn't live so far away I would go down there to straighten this out. Oh, and buy the way, we have a fixed week, the 2nd week of August that we have always used and have always been put in the other deeded unit, but was told this year that they can put us in any 2 bedroom unit, stating to us again that we have "floating units" and I would have to talk to Stephanie to straighen this out. My advice is don't buy a timeshare, use you money wisely and buy beach or lake property instead and never have this hassle. I should add that I am 61 yrs old, should not have to put up with this type of BS, both my wife and I wish we had never purchased @ Oak Plantation.
