A charge was listed on my telephone bill. The telephone number listed was incorrect on the bill. I had to track down the company to get the charges stopped. I had to look up on the Internet and found other businesses at this address. Then I called one and they gave me the Leasing Agents name for the building. The leasing agent gave me the Property managers telephone nmber and the Property Manager gave me the telephone number for the suite.
I did all the hard work for you. All you have to do if this happens to you is to call the company at 727-791-6440 and get the charges stopped and a credit issued for any months that have already been charged. I have heard it takes several months of calling to actually stop the charges. I got a confirmation number and hope I will not have to call again. If I do I will update this posting.
If the company changes the telephone number again you can contact the Building Property Manager Wayne Shaw at his mobile number 813-4595-7664 and ask him the current number for DaData in Suite 550. DaData is the company name on the door of the building. Wether it is OAN Services Inc., USA Voicemail or DaData, it is all the same company.
Also I contacted the Attorney General's Office Charlie Christ 850-414-3990 and spoke to Rhoda. She said that not enough people have complaioned to take any action. She Gave several options:
Public Service Commission 850-413-6100
Penneles County Consumer Protection 727-464-6200
Better Business Bureau 727-535-5522
Hope this helps you get your issue resolved.

We did NOT sign up

I never signed up. I never gave my email. I never received a confirmation email. I never clocked twice. Even though you admit it's a scam, looks like you (employee) still drank the Kool-aid when they told you everyone who calls did sign up. I've never been to any website associated with this, do not need voicemail or data-protection or whatever other garbage these companies pretend to sell. Here is a suggestion for you--stop helping your bosses LITERALLY steal from other people.

Legal, my foot!

There's nothing legal about them accepting new account info without verifying the truth of such... someone used my name and company phone number on a free coupon site to sign up for their voicemail services and their charges started showing up on our phone bill... I managed to get the originating IP address of the person who signed up for the account and it pointed to a connection in another state! The girl I talked to was very rude and told me that "IP addresses change all the time". Sorry, I'm technically proficient and told her she was giving me a line of b.s. The person who submitted the info didn't even get my mother's maiden name right and I told her so, LOL.
After I was finished with her, I hammered the local phone company for accepting 3rd party charges without our authorization.

From someone who heard calls about this alllll day.

I used to be a customer service representative for the Dadata program. I have heard every sort of situation that could possible come up with this. I will be the first one to tell you that this is pretty much a scam. I have some great advice for everyone that has had trouble with this.
If you look on your phone bill and you see that you have a charge from a billing company by the name of ILD, ESBI, OAN, or anything like that, you might have a charge from one of the companies. They use many different names such as USA voicemail, Nationwide Assist., MyInfo Gaurd, and Meteline. There are more than that, but those are just a few. Now Marcia, you went about this all wrong. I don't know why you put yourself through so much trouble. Anyone else reading this pay attention so you don't make the stupid mistake Marcia did. Look on your phone bill next to the USAvoicemail ect. charge and call the number. Ohhhhh. Tough, I know. You might have to hold for a minute, but then you will talk to a rep who can clear this up for you. Don't be a big jerk when you do so, because the rep is the one who is HELPING you here. They didn't sign you up, you did.
Here is some more advice. Again, read closely. DON'T SIGN UP FOR THE VOICE MAIL! On way that people sign themselves up is by trying to get $1000 grocery cupons, free gas for a year, or McDonalds gift certificates. You all know you aren't going to get the free stuff so why try and do it. Another thing is that it says right there that you are signing up for a voice mail service that will charge 12.95 to your local telephone bill. You have to fill out the registration, submit it , and click confirm TWICE to get billed. Then like it says, you are sent a welcome email that tells you alllll about it.
From hearing thousands and thousands of calls from people that have the service, it is evident that it's your fault if you sign up. They don't put it in big bold letters what you are doing, but they do clearly tell you. Don't blame it all on the company and everyone else for your own stupidity. And like I said, when you call in we will help you. No big deal. If you are a huge jerk we are more reluctant to help. The people that you call into and and are a jerk to are the ones that issue you money back. That is their job, to help.
I don't like the company or the way it does business. I wish it never existed to tell you the absolute truth. I know there are many people who are very upset with this company. I am all for people who want to voice there opinions and try to get something done. Sorry to say it, but Dadata is here to stay. I would hear every other person on the phone say there are going to report Dadata to the better business bureau. Nothing happens because despite their ethics, it is legal. Take responsibility for you actions.
