in 1996 my mother died and left a house to my child who was 7 years old, she gve me, my aunt and my brother life time residencey. basicly no one wanted the housse and all of its finacail problems, becasue my mother died after filing chapter 13 backrupcy and had lived the last 5 years of her life on her credit cards. she died broke. we never had her will probated and no one ever took responsiblity for the property.

well becasue we were named in her will ocwen federal tried to come after us for the money owed, in june of 1999 we won a court case leaving us in no way responsible for her debt, if we were to ever sell the house which we could nto do becasue it was not any of ours to sell, we would have to pay the money owed, we all decided to walk away from the house and left it just like that a torn down old house that was owned by a dead woman.

well yestarday nearly 7 years later i recieved a letter from ocwen loan servicing in regards to a lona for $13303.97 that is severely delinquent, they made references to trying to work with me on this, but there is nothing to work out, i have never had a mortage loan with them or anyone else, and why would i be obligated to pay my mothers debt. i dont even live in the state of the house in question.

They have threatened to report me to the credit agencies and when i triedto call to discussthis with them their reps. said that they could get into the system to find out how or why i was being harrassed by a company that in 1999 knew that they couldnt make me sign a moratgage agreement with them, i have tried all day to get some one to responde but cant.

i thankfuly have saved all paper work pertaining to this house, my motrhers will, her backrupty, and the court procedings for this case that was brought up by a company who thought htat they could striong arm yus in to paying for a loan we never signed for. i hope that there is a way to sue them for this and i also would like to know if anyone else has had similar dealings with this company.
