The TV Advertisement for "The Old Brooklyn Lantern" is Deceptive at Best and May Fall Into the Category of actual "False Advertising". The TV Advertisement is being aggressively shown at multiple daily times on TV throughout the day and through the week. The Ad claims to offer "the first Brooklyn Lantern for only $12.99 plus shipping and handling, and if you order right now with the phone number placed on the TV screen they will throw in a second Brooklyn Lantern for Free of Charge". However, the phone number connects to a robotic answering voice mail ordering service and extremely aggressively attempts to sell the caller various magazines and such with a so called "Trial Basis" and which turns into a regular monthly charge on your credit card if you do not call and cancel by a certain date. It also indicates that the first Brooklyn Lantern will be sold at the fee of A$12.99 plus $6.99 and the second Brooklyn Lantern will sold be at the fee of $9.99 (and which customer service at Telebrands later claims is an additional shipping and handling fee) plus a tax of over $2.00 which in reality comes to a total fee of not only $12.99 but over $32.00. This annoying robo call order system does not let the caller off the phone until after a very lengthy high pressure sales pitch for magazines and travel offers. Further more, when I finally figured out how to call the Telebrands Customer Service Offices and speak to a live human being I was told that they could not send me or let me view a copy of the order until if and when they actually charged the money from my credit card. This made me quite concerned so I then demanded to cancel the order completely and I am very sceptical that they may still unjustifiably charge money from my credit card which I never approved!
