To start, I could not find this companys city or state. They have blocked my calls so I cannot call for an address.

Their ripoff is: I ordered a cam corder online from them as they had the lowest price for the selected one I wanted.

After I ordered, I was instructed to call 1-888 211-7988 to verify the order. (Sony DCR-HC36)

The man I talked to started out very nice by saying what a great camera I chose and that they will ship it out right away.

Then he said, "Oh I noticed you didn't order a spare battery".

He said the battery that comes with this camera is good for 20 minutes maximum.

I said "Really?, This is a new camera isn't it?"
He said "Oh yes it's brand new in the box"

Then he started telling me that he has a 12 hour and an 8 hour battery available and that he would give me the 12 hour battery for the same price as the 12 hour one and would also through in a camera case at no extra charge. For $79.95 I said ok that sounds ok.

Then he tried to sell me a battery charger for $179.
I said "No thanks...I will pass on that"
He then said "Ok the new total will be $400 and some change"
This price was up from my order price of $298.00.
Then an extended warrenty....I said "You know what?, Just send me the camera and forget the battery and case"
He said that he had upgraded the camera to a new one because I ordered the battery.

I reminded him that he had told me that the camera was brand new in the box BEFORE, I ordered the battery.
He said for the price of the camera at $285.00...I would only get a refurbished camera.

After a small arguement between us he just said, "Mr Buck I'm gonna just cancel your order"...And then hung up on me.
