My minimum payment of $25 was due 2/15/12, I paid off my balance in full. I tried paying online using my bank debit, it only allowed electronic check. I paid by electronic check the only option I was given. I made payment on 2/1/12 and my payment was received by orchard bank on 2/2/12. The payment was debited from my checking account immediately, my money was deducted from my checking account and the orchard bank card was paid in full, on time and before due date and more than minimum requirement.
Today is February 9, 2012 my payment is still in a pending status on orchard bank. I'm out $296.00 I paid to orchard and I only have $4 available. I have called their customer service and the only answer I get is , it was a large payment by check and there s a ten day hold to assure available funds. Really? I have proof it's cleared and they seem to not care. If I were not in need of this $300, I would close this account immediately.

You have a basic misconception..

..of what a Credit Card and a Credit Line is.
Your credit line is the amount of money THEY are willing to allow you to borrow...it is NOT your money. When you paid $296 you are just paying back what you had already borrowed. As long as they apply the payment the day it is made(which it appears they did), they can wait 10 days before they allow you to borrow that money again. Oh and yes they also have the right to say they no longer want you to borrow any money and close your account out if they wanted to.
If I were not in need of this $300
- It is probably because of this mindset as to why you are with Orchard Bank in the first place.
