I received the following:

"We have found errors with the following codes and subtotals. Please check your codes and try again.

CODE: 05223003123051 SUBTOTAL: 76.46 REASON: Invalid code"

It was accepted at the time I entered it, which was weeks ago.  Why would I keep the receipt after that? The restaurant was the Vacaville, CA location.  Please credit my account as entered.

Your system seems to have been created by amateurs.

Meanwhile, I have yet to hear back on your fiasco in taking so long to generate an aussie-tizer certificate, that it arrived too late to be of any use.  Because of your delays I asked you to recredit my account (before you issued it).   You ignored that, issued it too late to be of any use, and since then you have ignored my requests to recredit my account:

Your customer service is broken.  Through their incompetence, your program is a fraud.  See the following:

13 May (NOTE - 10 DAYS BEFORE  INTENDED USE) Cashed in points for aussie-tizer

18 May (NOTE - 5 DAYS BEFORE INTENDED USE)

Re: My Outback Rewards/Other AssistanceRequested aussie-tizer coupon with points. Instructions say the coupon will arrive in email within 48 hours. It's been 3 days. Please advise. thanks.

20 May (NOTE - 2 DAYS -  NOT THE PROMISED 1 BUSINESS DAY, ABOVE)

Your dining experience should be a great one.We sincerely apologize that you have not received your reward. However, we ask that you please be sure you have checked your junk and spam folders for the email containing your coupon. Again, thank you for taking the time to contact us. If you have any other questions about this program, just let us know.Cheers! My Outback Rewards Customer Service ref:_00D30mVB0._50030Leu3G:ref

21 May (NOTE - MONDAY before intended use)

I never got it.I've checked deleted, spam, etc folders. It's not there. What is your solution? I want to use it on Wednesday. Why can't you just voide the one you think you sent, and issue a new one?
----------------------------

23 May (NOTE - WEDNESDAY)

Haven't heard anything back from you. I 'cashed in' points for an aussietizer about two weeks ago, waited the 48 hours, nothing showed up. I notified you, you told me to check my email, I told you I had, and was expecting to use the coupon on Wed. Wed has now come and gone. I don't think much of your system or your customer service. Why not just immediately produce the coupon like everyone else does? Since you put a time limit on the use of the coupon, and you never sent it, you might as well just credit my account back. Is there anyone there who actually answers emails? Is there a phone number to a real person, or do we just get these form letters and no action?
----------------------------

24 May (NOTE - THURSDAY, THE DAY AFTER I PLANNED TO USE IT)

Hi G...  ,Thank you for contacting us regarding your My Outback Rewards account. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this issue may have caused you. Attached you will find the PDF copy of your free Aussie-Tizer certificate, to print out at your leisure. Please note, the unique barcode in the lower left corner may only be redeemed once.We thank you for your patience. Please let us know if you have any other questions regarding your account.Best,My Outback Rewards Customer

25 May

I won't be near an Outback before the expiration date of this coupon. It does me no good. I told you last week I needed in time to use it Wednesday. THis is now of no use to me. Why not just print the darn coupons at the time you redeem them? Why this silly 48 hours? And why does it take so long for customer service to respond?Apparently there is no human at customer service actually paying attention. Please recredit my account.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The above is incomplete. There were more exchanges, through your 'contactus' form, which generates useless robot responses. If anyone cares, please have a real person, with a real name contact me.

Hard to beleive...

AUTHOR: Barry - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, July 02, 2013

I have dined at Outbacks all over the country Hawaii...Virginia....California...North Carolina  ... South Carolina

Georgia....Florida....Alabama....New Mexico....Nevada...and many other locations I have never ever been disappointed .... if I would have received a steak or anything that was not perfect and I mean perfect the server

would have replaced the item and notified the manager of the issue and it would have been made right...so if your steak was tough and not eatable and your salad was not fresh you should have brought this to your servers attention ..... and next time go back to Golden Corral for your meal if that fits your taste.....

I think you are at it. It does not sound right when they take that long to reply each email and the decision making on solution to your problem. I rarely go to OB and won't go there any time soon. It used to be a great place to go, but the food quality seems to be lower lately.

By the way, to the poster above, have you ever had real Kangaroo meat? I had it when I went to Australia. It is actually much better than beef -- both taste and texture.

My Experience

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, June 25, 2012

Been to OB twice. The first time was so bad I swore I'd never go again. Someone gave us a $50 gift card, so we thought we'd try it again. It was as bad the second time as the first and cost about $20 over the gift card for a really bad, overpriced meal for 2 people. Could have gone to our regular place for a better meal at half the price. I swear they serve kangaroo meat, it's tough and chewy. They don't say WHAT kind of steak they serve. The salad was wilted, their blooming onion sucked and it took 45 minutes AFTER dinner for the melted dessert to show up. But the service was good. If I got another gift card from OB, I'd donate it to the homeless shelter.
