I once worked for Park West Gallery in the Client Service Department. For some reason, I loved it at one time. I think it was because of the great money I made. However, there was a lot to dislike about the job/company. Those of us who like to look in the mirror at ourselves and be proud of what we do and who we work for.. well, there is much left to be desired in that category. I was and still am very proud of myself and the job I did at the gallery. I am nowhere near perfect, but I still to this day feel like I am a victim of their crooked policies. I was one of the honest ones.

I would not and did not tell a client any lies. I could not do that. These people spend thousands of dollars on their artwork. They deserve the truth. They deserve the actual piece that they bid on and an accurate certificate of authenticity and appraisal. I cannot tell you how many times in a day we would get calls and emails regarding the wrong artwork being received (they loved to switch pieces), the piece being damaged or framed incorrectly or the appraisal being inaccurate. This was a common thing to occur. So common, it was rare to hear anything other than those issues. I had many awesome clients who liked the company and liked me. I liked a lot of the people I worked with, I liked most of my clients, and as I expressed, I loved the money I made. This all still does not change the fact that the company I worked for is anything but honest.

We were not told outright "Lie to the customers", but we were NEVER told to be honest. We were told to do what we are "comfortable" with doing. I just chose honesty because that is the way I choose to live my life. If I could go back in time, I would have left the company long before I did. They do not deserve good, honest, dedicated, and hardworking people such as myself and do not deserve to have the abundance of business that they do. I would never recommend this company to anyone who wants to earn an honest income, nor would I recommend this company to anyone who wants to purchase art.

I was just getting things off my chest. I hope things get better there for the good people that are still left at that company and for some of those great clients this company still has. As with any company, there are good and bad points. At least lessons can be learned along the way.

Very true Bill, I do not want to be identified because I don't feel like putting up with the BS that I would be dealt. I no longer work there and do not need the problems anymore that come along with the crooked company that I once worked for. I am freed of that stress and I am thankful for that. I am just here to express my experience and what I know. You are one of the most crooked there. You belong there along with the owner and his son. You all are alike. There were many satisfied clients, but for every satisfied, there is an unsatisfied. Many of the satisfied were that way because of many of the over-looked client service representatives!

Unhappy, Unidentified Possible Ex Park West Gallery Employee Refuses to Identify Self in an Attempt at Defaming Park West Gallery.

First of all there has never been a Melanie working in customer service at Park West Gallery. So clearly if this person did work at Park West Gallery she refuses to be identified and chooses the alias Melanie.

Second, Melanie by her own words "loved it," that is Park West Gallery, because as an employee I can tell you that is a typical statement made by Park West employees because it is a great place to work.

Third, Melanie states clearly that "we were not told to lie to customers," because that is the truth.

Fourth, as one of more than 20 customer service representatives it would not have been unusual for Melanie to receive calls regarding a damaged frame or the wrong artwork or wrong appraisal being received. Yes, we are human and yes we make errors. However, considering that Park West Gallery has more than one million clients and sells more than four hundred thousand works of art each year our rate of error is extraordinarily small and out method of problem solving is extremely rapid. For those who are clients you will know this is true and for those who aren't, try us, you will love the experience.

Fifth, by Melanie's own words Park West Gallery has "many awesome clients who like the company."
