I signed up with PDL to help me with 2 payday loans.

I called first for information and was told that in the state of AZ companies could not prosecute for payday loans. I was told "that was the risk loan companies make when accepting postdated checks."  The rep told me they work with all the loan companies and I verified mine to be sure they were included.  I was told "yes they had successfuly negotiated with both my loan companies."

I even check them with the BBB and there were a few complaints but I figured no matter what business you will have asome complaints. 

I signed up anyway.  After signing everything I ask to print or get a copy of the contract and was told that they could not do that.  I was told "I might change it."  I explained to the rep that works both ways and she assured me I could look at the contract on line any time I wanted to.  I felt at this point I was committed and left it at that. 

Their web page for customers has been down since May when I first reported it to them.  As of today 9/23 the web page is still "down for maintenance." Their CS rep could not even sign on when she called me.

I started my deposits in March.  In June I received a letter from one of my loan companies. They tried to cash the check even they knew I had closed the account and was working with PDL. They reported me to the courts for writting an NSF.  Since I had not heard a word from PDL, I called to get a progress report and find out what I needed to do with the letter.  This is when they told me they had not made one phone call or written one letter to either of my loan companies. They didn't have enought of my $$ yet.   

I was procecuted for an NSF and it cost me at least $100 MORE than my payday loan was.  Now I also have a record as writting NSF checks.  A first for me!

In my opinion PDL was not honest with me from the start.  They have never attempted to contact me unless they wanted me to so something. They don't return my calls when they promise they will.  They have lied about what companies they have experience working with, what can and can't actually happen to you if you use PDL Services.

My advice to anyone is "don't do it."  It is just as much hassle and more money than just owning up to your loan company that you can't pay them.
