I APPLIED FOR A FREELANCE WRITING PROGRAM AT PENN FOSTER ONLINE BACK IN MAY OF THIS YEAR. THEY MADE IT SOUND REALLY CONVINCING YOU COULD HAVE THE SAME EDUCATION EXPEREINCE AS AN ONGROUND CAMPUS. I RECIEVED A SHIPMENT OF TWO FLAT BOOKS WITH SOME GRADING SHEETS, IT LOOKED VERY CHEAP. THE WORST PART WAS THATS ALL YOU GOT EVERYTIME THERE WAS A SHIPMENT.
THEY CLAIM YOU HAD A REAL TEACHER,CLASSROOM,AND THE SOURCES NECESSARY FOR GETTING A JOB IN THE FEILD OF CHOICE.I NEVER GOT A EMAIL OR CALL FROM ANYONE AT "PENN FOSTER ONLINE", I FELT LIKE I WAS BY MYSELF, I KNEW SOMETHAN WAS WRONG WHEN I DIDNT TAKE THE FAKE EXAMS, I LOOKED ON THERE STUDENT PAGE AND THERE WAS A GRADE FOR AN EXAM I HAVE NOT TAKEN.
THEY STARTED SENDING ME NEW FLAT BOOKS BEFORE I FINISHED THE PREVIOUS ONES. I CALLED AND CANCELLED THEY TOLD ME I OWED $280.00, ALSO THEY HAD CHARGED ME FOR MATERIAL THAT WAS SUPPOSEDLY FOR COURSES TAKEN LATER ON. EVERY MONTH THEY SAY I OWE MORE AND MORE.
THEY HARASS ME WITH UNSOLICITED CALLS ALMOST EVERYDAY. I WANT TO EXPOSE PENN FOSTER FOR THE RIP OFFS THEY ARE, AND TO HELP PREVENT OTHERS FROM BIENG VICTIMS OF ONLINE EDUCATION SCHEMES.

Penn Foster waste of money

It is good that you didn't continue with them. I got a ASB associates in specialized business degree with them and I found out today that the credit won't transfer to Northeast State Community college, even though I've seen that college on lists of schools that accept DETC credit here, and on collegeboard! I am so disheartened.
I wish there was a true list of R.A. schools accepting this credit.
