The company claims they can help you to originate loans for residential mortgages.  What they do not tell you is that you have to be already a mortgage loan officer before they can assist you to write a mortgage.  Here is how the shell game works.

Anyone who wants to make money in the mortgage business must be able to pre-qualify a prospective borrower so the borrower can make an offer to purchase a property.  Very few owners of property will accept an offer to purchase from an unqualified buyer.

For PFA to assist you in pre-qualifying a prospective home buyer, you must first have training.

To get training, you have to be able to pre-qualify a home buyer so the buyer can get the offer accepted and you can write the loan.

So the bottom line is, all PFA is doing is selling you information  AND a dream.  Straight out of the "sucker born every minute" business model.

BBB rating

AUTHOR: js1 - ()

POSTED: Sunday, January 11, 2015

I know nothing about "Professional Financial Associates" except what is on their website and what I have received in their emails.

However, the owner has made a total misrepresentation in his rebuttal.  He is NOT a member of BBB and his rating is not "A". If fact it is an "F".

According to BBB, it is rated an "F" not because of any complaints but simply because of the industry in which it is classified. They have classified this company as "Work-At-Home".

I don't place much credence in BBB, so it is not the "F" rating that is bothersome (especially given the reason for the rating) so much as the flat out lie stating that "Professional Financial Associates" is a member of BBB and that it has an "A" rating.

Here is the link to BBB for "PFA aka Professional Financial Associates":

PFA Broker Course

AUTHOR: indigosuccess - ()

POSTED: Saturday, September 14, 2013

I purchased a Broker course from PFA Martin Eisler and it was everything that Mr. Eisler said in his advertising. He cvan help people with no experience get started in the Loan Broker business. I would recommend his product top anyone and on top of that Mr Eisler has a broker hotline which he is available for consultation and he also answers every email promptly.

His company is a standup first class company that stands behind their product with a guarantee

There IS no baiting & swithching - Just a misinformed complainant

AUTHOR: Martin - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, June 20, 2011

It would appear the complainant here is clearly unfamiliar with what PFA is actually offering.

The company has provided the PFA Registered Loan Broker Program as a training vehicle to over 5,000 interested indivuduals since 1978 who expressed an interest in learning how to offer various types of non-bank financing including receivable factoring, equipment leasing & sale-leasebacks and a variety of other forms of commercial, industrial, medical, corporate and business related financing as a full service financial broker utilizing the non real estate assets of that business as opposed to being just another mortgage broker, which was found to be a far more well rounded approach with less competition than what the traditional entity that was offering only mortgage loans could provide. A complete listing of the various financing programs can be found on the PFA homepage at http://www.pfa.com

In 2006 PFA was approached by a Virtual Net Branch Mortgage firm who expressed a willingness to offer mortgage loans through individuals who were adquately trained to provide them. At that time PFA introduced a new training program as a free bonus for those individuals who purchased the Registered Loan Broker Program and wanted to also be able to be adequately trained to begin offering mortgage loans in addition to all of the other non-real estate financing programs being offered.

While in this training program any prequalification which may be necessary are being provided not by the person being trained, but by the company who will ultimately be providing the financing. So there isn't any "switching" transpiring as whatever is necessary to be able to move forward is readily being made available and provided as needed or required.

PFA takes any complaints seriously, has maintained an "A" rating with the Better Business Bureau and is in fact a member of the BBB. To ensure satisfaction and that this rating is maintained, PFA offers anyone who has purchased these materials who should be dissatisfied for whatever reason a ONE-YEAR Money Back Guarantee from the original purchase date to ensure that purchasers were truly satisfied with what they received. If this complainant has actually purchased materials within this 1 year period, he would still be able to excercise this option as well by simply contacting PFA directly and requesting a refund under this guarantee.

Since PFA has received few complaints over their 30+ years in business especially when the number of satisfied purchasers are factored in should reflect more on the viability of the PFA business model far more than the possible misunderstandings of a single individual who may be only casually familiar with what was being offered and failed to adequately investigate what was actually being provided.
