Received an e-mail from a friend stating "You might be interested in this". When I contacted the friend later, I was informed that she never sent me the e-mail, had no knowledge of the product. I had already ordered the product, on-line.

Product arrived, credit card billing showed a $30.00 increase in price. Checked the original on-line ad - no mention of any additional fees.  The order # listed on the confirmation had a very long, complex ID#. The confirmation came from [noreply@platinum-customer-support.com]

Contacted their Customer Support by phone. The rep stated that the $30.00 was for shipping & handling but immediately offered to have the charge reversed - a credit would be issued. Also inquired about any auto-reorder option; she told me that I would receive 2 bottles per month. I asked her to cancel the re-order option which she agreed to do. She also told me that I would receive an e-mail confirming the Credit and re-order cancellation. An e-mail was never received.

I sent an e-mail to the address on the confirmation e-mail - [sales@platinum-support.com & sales@platinum-customer-support.com].  Both e-mails were returned as address unknown.  I searched the internet for their ad - found it under Safflower Oil.  There is no mention of an e-mail address, pysical address or any terms of purchase (S&H fees, auto reorder) in the ad. The company name is also NOT revealed in the ad.

There are several other sites listing 'Safflower Oil'; they all link back to the same site which lists DR Oz as one of their promoters.  I also checked a few valid, legitimate medical sites, all of which claimed that there are no known benefits from using Safflower Oil , including weight loss.

This company and the Safflower Oil product appear to be scams.
