PlayOn is a bait and switch scam. Do not trust this company.
PlayOn advertises in the Google Play store that it is free for Google TV as long as you download the server from www.playon.tv.googletv
The company website also says that it is free on Google TV. I downloaded the program for both my TV and PC and put it all my login info for hulu plus, hbogo, etc. Then when I tried to use it, it said I needed to pay.
I thought it must be an easily fixable mistake due to the multiple statements of it being free on Google TV. I emailed support, and "Chris" replied that it was no longer free and that the offer was only until December. I pointed out that since it was December 5, they had plenty of time to change the website and Google Play store listing. In fact, it should have been changed the instant the offer was over. He apologized that I was confused. Confused? Why not apologize that the company was lying?
Do not use this company's service. They seem to be ok with their unethical business practices.
