Found this mysterious charge for $14.99 from Playphone of MT on my cellphone. Had a talk with the AT&T Wireless customer service and they were familiar with the problem, removed my charges, and put purchase blocker on my account so they can't do this anymore! Your cell phone provider should be able to offer this kind of protection. If they cannot or will not, then change phone carriers.

Don't believe anything posted under the name of PLAYPHONE FRAUD. That is just a company hack trying to stem the tide of outrage. Don't bother to contact Playphone, go right to your phone carrier. PLAYPHONE FRAUD also has a myspace page. Beware. Be careful. Be informed. These *#$(&(* should be in jail for fraud.

i was charged overnight at 3 am on my att Pay as you go GO phone from playphone as well when i pulled up my account on a computer, I saw the 9.99 charge from playphone listed as ringtones games applications. there were several more charges because texting costs 20 cents for each sms message i send or receive. I called the att #611 and got a live person and she was nice enough to reimburse the 9.99 and 40 more cents for the text messages. if this happens to you, please investigate your phone records online if possible and call your phone company and they might could help in eliminating the scam charges.
