PokerStars.com gains revenue by charging a fee for each player (raked from the pot in a cash game or paid up front for a tournament). The more players, the greater the revenue - plain and simple. Decent poker players will play on-line consistently. If they suffer a bad streak, they tend to hang in there waiting for the law of large numbers to take over and turn things around. New players and poor players (not necessarily one and the same) will stop playing after losing several games and seeing their bankroll depleted. Therefore, PokerStars rewards the poor (and sometimes inexperienced) player by "creating" bad beats - meaning the better player that has moved his chips into the pot with a much stronger hand sees the opponent's miracle card (or cards in some cases) dealt on the turn or river thus making his or her hand a loser. All poker players have suffered bad beats - it is part of the game. The problem with PokerStars is that they orchestrate the bad beats. The cards to be dealt should be determined by a random number generator. This is clearly not the case. The frequency of this occurence is so high that there is no statistical support for the integrity of the outcomes. As for the typical player, they are left with no recourse. If they had unlimited time and resources, they could document hundreds of thousands of hands over months and show that the trend lies outside the standard deviation for a fifty-two card deck. But who has that kind of time and what good will it do? This is a foreign based company that exists outside of the laws of the United States. When they are challenged on this front, they respond by freezing a player's account and providing extremely ignorant commentary making it clear that they do not care about the individual player - just the fees.

It would be helpful to the conversation if you started out by telling the truth
about online poker and you own personal stats. Why do you feel the need to say
you have an ROI of 150% when in fact its 49%.
This is a phenomenal stat when one considers that less than 2% of ALL online
poker players have actually won more money than they have lost. Is it the same
reason all online poker rooms lie about the traffic their respective sites get,
by as much as 80%?
Is it to perpetuate the myth that everyone has a chance of winning once they
have become a skilled player? Why has North American governments banned online
poker?
I would like to think that some very smart people have looked at what these
sites are contributing to society in general and have found that online poker
is the biggest scam ever perpetrated on the public since the inception of the
internet.
There is an obvious criminal element involved simply because of where their
servers are located. I have spent 4 years playing online poker, read most poker
blogs and have heard the criticisms on both sides of this issue.
The personal and viscous attacks made by many posters on anyone who complains
speaks volumes as to their motives. The reasons trolls give as to why people
are sore losers are simply not legitimate and most often the troll doesnt take
the time read or understand the other posters complaint before launching into
their tirade.
These are paid posters who defend these criminal poker sites for the simple
reason of greed. Its the same reason online poker sites cheat their players. Ive
seen it all on Poker stars and knew within 6 months that it was a scam. Like
many many others, I stuck to $1 or less tourneys never spending more than $20 a
month simply as a form of entertainment.
I had quit playing for months at a time over the years when my common sense
gained control over my boredom or money was tight. I finally closed my account
after 4 months of escalating bad beats on myself and others this year. Poker
Stars started being squeezed in 2009 by the feds for their criminal activity
and they recouped confiscated funds by squeezing their long term players.
Deposits that had lasted for a month or more would be lost in a week because
players can no longer expect to occasionally place in the money due to an
overhaul of the sites RNG. There is no such thing as skill when playing
online poker. I personally feel the vast majority of online tournament winners have
a more personal relationship with the associated poker site and this is the very
reason they win.
My hope is that these sites are being investigated and the hammer will come
down sooner or later. An organization with the resources and some hard work
could expose the greatest money laundering scam in history.

Why would pokerstars do this? They make the same amount of money no matter who wins the hand. Do you honestly think that they would ruin a their reputation (which is worth millions) over bailing out a couple low stakes players! LOL too funny. You obviously are not as good at the game as you believe. I have over a %150 ROI on pokerstars. For ever 10$ I invest I average $25 return. That's very high and is proof that you can make money.
bad stuff happens in games where chance is involved and sometimes people get lucky. Get used to it because that part will never change regardless of the website or casino.
Feel free to look my name up on sharkscope or official poker rankings for proof. Flushnasty48
