Pomeroy IT Solutions = No Pay, Slow Pay, Incorrect Pay

I worked for ARC - Alternative Resources Corporation - now Pomeroy IT Solutions for a few months now. I have NEVER recieved a correct paycheck. They have either delayed payment, given incorrect salary hours, incorrect hourly pay or have made improper deductions to my taxes.

Pomeroy IT Solutions = No communications within the organization.

We have been pleading with them for months to rectify these issues and they seem to foul them up even more every time they attempt to "fix" the problem.

Pomeroy IT Solutions = Confusion and Lies

I have experienced nothing but confusion and a rediculous amount of beurocratic red tape in dealing with these people. we have received apologies and promises from their VP's and even their CFO and none of their promises have held water.

Pomeroy IT Solutions = Contractors Beware!

If you are approached by Pomeroy IT Solutions with work, beware, you may not get paid for the work you do. Make sure you have plenty of money in the bank to float you until they get you re-imbursed, whether it be salary or per-diem.

Pomeroy IT Solutions = Big Promises, Big Pay, Big Problems.

I have recieved letters from their CEO that are quite laughable in their response to my request that they "get on the ball" and get us paid. There were 10 technicians on the last project that I was on and 75% of them were not paid correctly. This is not an isolated incident, so be careful if you feel compelled to get in bed with them. We are looking into a class action suit at this time. Anyone else wishing to get in on this is welcome to join, as I am sure there are thousands who are affected by this Bad Company.

They might as well be armed Bank Robbers holding us up

AUTHOR: thecompgal - (USA)

They puposely with-hold payroll check stubs to keep you from seeing all the crap they are doing

They withhold this required information and access to the information and any probable location

W-2's are wildly incorrect, claims to pay for Holidays they didnt pay, incorrect deductions...who knows what else (without paycheck stubs)

When you ask questions, they avoid answers....give you twice the work of anyone else, and make you, your job and livelyhood feel extremely threatened.

If you ask questions again (potential whisleblower), they fire you..... FYI..they are not above setting someone up so they wont have to pay unemployment

They rob you of hours, vacation time and expenses etc!

Payroll does what they are told to do by management Right or Wrong!! As most typical Pomeroy employees  do....given they will lose their jobs otherwise.

They are evasive and try to intimidate you into believing that Pomeroy does not owe....but it is clear they do

They do not inform employees to their rights, as required by the National Labor and Wage Dept.

They do not give access to payroll, 401K or any other required information due its employees

I am also considering Class Action, as it effects ALL employees (past and present), some contractors and will have an impact on most all Client contracts as well.

My experience with Pomeroy has been the opposite

AUTHOR: Kbrooks - (United States of America)

These reports on Pomeroy were filed around 05/06, I think that was around the time Pomeroy and ARC combined or shortly after that, I don't doubt they had HR and Payroll issues during that time.

But this reports makes it sound like they are deliberately trying to rip people off. There pobably were some pretty big issues when this was posted, but my experience there has been great, so has my brothers.

I have been working for Pomeroy IT for about 6 months, my brother has worked for them for close to 4 years.

He loves working for Pomeroy, and while I have not specifically asked him, he has never said anything about any problems in dealing with HR and Payroll or getting his pay checks. He's the one who recommended me for the job. And I know he recieved two raises since he started.

In my 6 months of working there I have had two issues with HR/Payroll. One was with the hiring/background check, there was an issue with the email I gave them and I missed the date for my Drug-Screening. When my Pomeroy Manager contacted me asking why I missed the UA, he was very understanding and got my E-Cup ticket renewed right on the phone and sent it to me right then.

The next issue was with me not being able to login to the Payroll portal (I could login to the Time managment site and submit my Timesheets, I just couldnt login to ADP and view my Paystubs, W2's and other info). It all was caused by a typo I made filling out my W2's, I transposed two numbers on my social security number. Eg. I put 21 instead of 12. It never caused my paychecks to be late, I was just unable to make any changes to my W2's for two-weeks.

I have never had any trouble getting in touch with my manager or payroll. I actually became pretty good friends with someone from payroll while we were trying to figure out the login issue I was having.

My checks have been on time, I had no problem setting up direct deposit, in-fact direct deposit was setup during the hiring process. The right amount of money is being withheld. (And I have been watching it very close, they make it very easy to check if the right amount is being withheld, just login to ADP and use the W2 calculator) There was no issue with 401k rollover, it actually happened much faster than I thought it would. And they pay very well.

All the people I have dealt with in Hebron, KY have been great. I was given direct contact info for all the people I need to deal with, like my Pomeroy Manager, HR, and Payroll.

I'm sure they have their issues, and I will probably run into them in the future but I really do not think it is anything deliberate or shady on their part. It's great to be careful and research your employer but I think you need to take reports like this with a grain of salt. Most large companies are going to have some un-happy employees and they tend to be very vocal.

If you have the chance to work for Pomeroy I would say go for it, I think you will find it's a pretty decent place to work.

1 Year After Working For ARC/Pomeroy IT

AUTHOR: Tim - (U.S.A.)

I received a threatening email from Pomery IT payroll demanding that I repay them for wages that were incorrectly overpaid to me. They expected me to pay well over $1400+ for what they deemed incorrectly paid wages. I responded to this threat with a request for documented proof of the overpayment. A week later they replied back that I didn't owe them anything and it was a mistake. A day later I received another email with a request for repayment for a DIFFERENT employee- not me. I replied back and within a week I was told that they made an error in calculating overpayment- I was off the hook.

I feel that a trained monkey could most likely perform the simple task of making sure that people are paid on a timely and correct basis. Pomeroy/IT needs to find some trained monkeys to replace the empty headed bafoons they have running things in Hebron, KY.

Avoid Pomeroy/IT as they are still inept and fairly unethical in their business approach.

AUTHOR: Michael - (U.S.A.)

Laughable quotes form Pomeroy IT Solutions:

(These are actual quotes from Pomeroy staff relating to the email issues... Ex Employee comments are in parentheses.)

"I have been informed by payroll that the reason they didn't issue a check to you was due to lack of having the W4 form."

(We filled out 7 (SEVEN!!) w4 forms and sent them to them via Fax and Email.)

"I just got notification from Payroll that they found the W4s and will process and overnite checks today for delivery tomorrow."

(The checks were late and were for the wrong amount and sent to the wrong people / deposited in the wrong accounts.)

(When asked for a tracking number for the late checks that were supposedly sent we got:)

"I could request the tracking number, however you will probably have the check before they get the number to me. Jill Czerniak is the HR/Payroll Mgr. - However, please keep in mind that Jill, myself and others are all getting zillions of emails for employee's nationwide on payroll issues.
Which is understandable, however it is hard to keep up with responding to mail and it get's overly confusing when a consultant emails more than one of us on an issue."

(So, there are zillions of emails hitting Pomeroy's Payroll Dept. and they don't have a fix? C'mon now...the CEO makes nearly $500,000.00 a year... Rohrkemper makes nearly $300,000.00 wonder we can't get paid!) ((( )))

(And now a blistering email after getting a paycheck at long last and them taking MAXIMUM TAXES OUT with complete disregard to my deductions. This one is from the employee to Pomeroy, starting with the reply from the recruiter)::

"This message will go directly to the CFO and all other management.
Thanks for providing the information and my apologies for all the inconvenience."

Sincerely, >>>

----------------Original Email-----------------
From: >>>>
To: >>>

Please have your CFO call me immediately.

He and I spoke earlier last week about the paycheck issues and he assured me they were going to iron the issues out and credit my next check for the money they owed me due to a discrepancy with my deductions. I have since received the check and it is IDENTICAL to the other one I received.

My check and >>>> check were not adjusted and still show improper deductions. Others I know were not paid and their hours were not approved.

I am having second thoughts about showing up for work tomorrow as a result.

I have had it. You have got to get this taken care of. I have never seen such incompetence.

I am getting very leery as to your companies business practices.

If you have 15000 employees and you essentially "steal" 100 to 200 dollars from each paycheck; that turns into a whole lot of money.

At this point, due to the repeated problems and lack of reparations, the above is more likely not just an assumption. It may not be the case, however, but it certainly seems to be deliberate. (payroll has been consistently incorrect)

My check still shows 0 allowances and shows the maximum taken out of my check for the government.

I think this ought to be rectified immediately. I have spoken to several of the other >>>> project team and they are talking about not showing up for that project altogether if these issues with pay are not rectified.

They just don't trust you and I am starting to lean in that direction myself. Promises have been made and broken over and over again.

This is very unprofessional.

I am sure you will make every effort to make the corrections that need to be made.)

------------End of Email from Pomeroy Tech-------

(More excuses for non payment of their technicians from a multi-million dollar organization)

"Expense Reimbursement for the current >>>> project - this is being processed. It has been delayed due to payroll errors. To date - Expense dept. has all expense reports approved by me and is in the process of reimbursement procedures between Expense dept. and payroll dept.

I know that this has been very frustrating to everyone and the resolution process has been very inconsistent for each of you. However, please keep in mind that Pomeroy IT Solutions is not trying to create problems or keep from paying resources that are working. All payroll issues are due to process, procedure, transition and electronic procedures that are all NEW for Pomeroy IT Solutions as a whole."

(If you had seen the amount of process, procedure and transition issues these people masqueraded behind you would laugh.... unless it was YOUR paycheck, then you would be pounding out a posting on this fine website like I am. Thanks Ripoff Report... It ain't compensation, but at least we can put the word out on these scumbags!)

--------An upset at the Pomeroy camp??---------

"The payroll mgr. and R. Max IT guy? are both leaving the company tomorrow - as they have been replaced"

( It makes you wonder how this well crafted little tidbit of information should be interpreted. Did they quit? Were they fired? Why were they "replaced". Methinks they got sick of all the B.S. and left! Nobody at Pomeroy would comment.)

(As of today, 6/8/05 I have still yet to recieve my pay from Pomeroy IT solutions. BEWARE!!! If you work for them, you may not get paid until you are collecting on the Social Security Taxes they took out of the check you didn't get!)

I found this little gem in my research into just how these guys operate. The following URL has information form the State of Tennessee in a Judgement against Pomeroy IT Solutions for a whopping $780,000.00 for stealing (go figure) employees from other companies by luring them with high salaries and then shutting them down and stealing their business.

Pomeroy IT Solutions Payroll Fouls Up Payroll and Could Care Less ..I have seen some rather questionable business tactics used when dealing with payroll.

AUTHOR: Tim - (U.S.A.)

After taking on Pomeroy IT Solutions as my employer in March 2005 I have seen some rather questionable business tactics used when dealing with payroll. Since March I have had to fax in direct deposit information 6 times to the fine payroll folks in Hebron, took them until late April to find someone who was competent enough to enter the information into the system and set up direct deposit...on my first assignment with Pomeroy it took multiple calls and time away from my work to get checks mailed to me on a weekly basis- UPS overnight delivery out of their pockets no less. No one could get direct deposit set up over a 6 week period or manage to cut checks when they were supposed to be mailed out each Wednesday. Direct deposit was set up at the end of my project and I had a 2 week period of inactivity until my next job started- payroll in their wisdom deleted my direct deposit info as they thought that I was "termed" this day in June I still do not have direct deposit set up...I worked on an IBM & United Missouri Bank project in the last week of June 2005 and still await payment as of June rent check has bounced and NO ONE from payroll will answer the phone or return calls/e-mail. Pomeroy does not pay employees on time unless you constantly call them, have your project manager hassle them or you go to someone's supervisor. Because of payroll delays I have late payments, bounced checks and a severe desire to pay a visit to Hebron, KY to see in person what sort of morons they have taking up space and oxygen in the payroll department...DO NOT WORK FOR THESE CLOWNS...avoid getting suckered into this scenario. They are sitting on the payroll and making a great deal of interest in doing so...I have seen far too many Pomeroy co-workers go through what I have described...ARC never treated the people who MAKE A GREAT DEAL OF MONEY FOR THEM like this...

Avoid Pomeroy IT Solutions and you shall be much happier and wiser!

Very unpaid and unhappy in Denver, CO
