Pomeroy could care less about the voices of their employees... most definitely the ones they inherited from ARC.
So what if you don't get paid the correct amount of money you're entitled to, as long as the VIP's of Pomeroy can travel around the U.S. patting themselves on the back and spouting off about how great they are.... why should they care as long as their clients think highly of them and they are getting paid for slave labor!
Pomeroy fired the HR Manager (J.Czerniak) for sending checks out by next day air so that employees would have their money.
Well, that costs Pomeroy a whopping $30,000+ just to correct the screw-up with payroll that they constantly make every week.
When anyone calls or writes to complain, all you will ever get is voicemail, no response to the emails or...if you happen to get a human voice and explain how it has been done in the past and ask how it should be done now... you get a non-chalant voice on the other end of the phone saying,
"If you're getting them paid, then I guess that is an OK process to use...I just think you may have a problem getting them paid that way. If they are on this Friday's check, I would not worry about it. if not, then I would start submitting the amounts to xxxxx to include on commissions."
Commissions? What the hell does xxxxx have to do with adding your overtime or on-call compensation to commissions?
I often wonder if they know their backside from their upper lips! The bottom line is... Pomeroy could care less if you got paid ever. Pomeroy makes sure they get their money off the top from the client and withhold yours until they feel like it.
Withholdings were taken out of my checks for cities that I never worked nor lived in, I've been shorted on PTO at a lesser rate, my benefits canceled even though they withheld the money for benefits out of every check, including the incorrect payroll checks.
My on-call pay for after hours support was entered as tax deductible and then changed to non-taxable after they taxed about $200 of it, but I was never reimbursed for the difference on any mistakes that Pomeroy has made with payroll errors.
Pomeroy initially refused to give us a pay increase because they don't give increases, we were told that we would be compensated by incentives. When asked what are the incentives?, we are told that incentives are in progress without an ETA, same for career development. I could go on and on about the abuse/corruption of the payroll/management system at Pomeroy but I'm sure you get the drift.
If you're thinking of joining Pomeroy as a contractor, the best advise I will give you is === Don't === that will be the biggest mistake of your life. If you're already working for Pomeroy, get out as fast as you possibly can... unless you are independently wealthy and can do volunteer work without a problem!

#1 Consumer Suggestion
Have you talked to the state at all.

It is against the law for employers to not pay employees for work performed. If they won't pay or if there's unreasonable delays, you should contact the state and file a complaint.
