Portforward.com Useless Software - Buyer Beware Internet

I purchased PC Config for $29.95 to assist in forwarding a port.  When the software didn't work, I contacted their Customer Support.  Their assistance was absolutely useless.  The recommendations, suggestions and guidance provided were easily obtainable in the "free" portion of their website and on countless other message boards and websites and, if they had worked, I would not have paid $29.95 for the program.

It was evident from the messages I received that the support person did not know to resolve my specific problem and, in fact, there was no real effort to resolve the problem.  They refused to issue a refund and I filed a chargeback with my credit card company.  But because they require a letter from an "expert" confirming the program did not work, I let it go.  I wasn't about to throw another $30 or $40 away to retrieve $30.00.

I am not a computer novice and usually can find resolutions to problems from other users on various message boards but when I could not find a solution to my problem, I turned to a company I thought was reputable.  Stay away!!!
