Prevention Magazine, North Shore Agency, Inc. Dunned for a magazine I didn't order! Red Oak Iowa

Almost two years ago, I ordered "The Sugar Solution," a book, from Rodale Publishers, and a prescription to PREVENTION magazine was included "free." I don't like the magazine, and I treated it like I do all junk mail when it came, I threw it away. I also threw all renewal notices away for the magazine. It is a very second rate magazine, and nothing I would ever want.

Just yesterday, I received a notice from North Shore Agency, Inc., a supposed collection agency, saying that they had tried many times to contact me,and that I had not responded, and that I now owe them $16.97, to make a payment to PREVENTION MAGAZINE immediately. I never ordered this magazine, I do not want this magazine, and I threw away all subscription or renewal forms. The idea that they have "sent you a number of letters, but to date, the matter is unresolved," just makes me furious.

I have worked so hard to have a great credit score. I know that they assume I will pay this even though I never orderd the magazine, just to keep my credit score up. I will never order anything from Rodale again. This is such a scam!
